It all depends on lots of things and where you are filing cant tell as you have not got a timeline

Best thing that you can do is to check on Igors list to see how long it is taking for other VJ members to get from NOA1 to NOA2

each case is different

Under the best circumstances what has been the shortest K-1 wait time? My fiance is from Brazil.

Right now you're looking at about 145 days to get a K1 petition approved and sent to the Consulate/Embassy - Brazil is averaging about 45 days from when they get your petition and schedule an interview. So all things being equal you're looking at about 6 months.

It's simply impossible for anyone to know.

If you notice the historical timelines given here on VJ you will notice a huge disparity in both the processing times in general and between the two centers now processing the K1's. The time it takes fluctuates a great deal depending on many different circumstances.

Karin gave you a great estimate for what looks like current processing times. But, it's important to note that there are security checks done at every single stage of this journey and any one of them can hold you up...whether you have a checkered past or not. ;)Here is a current list of the checks done.

You can be held up for any number of reasons. Neither of us have a criminal past at all but we were still stuck at NVC for 3 weeks. ;)

Expect the worst, hope for the best.

good luck

currently the best case scenario for both centers is around 130 - 140 days. Or a little over 4 months for the first stage. The final stages have too many variables to give an estimate as its determined by the quickness of the turn around on returning the files and the speed of the consulate of that country.

The shortest possible wait time is about a week for the NOA2 from the USCIS... that's about a 500:1 shot. Good luck.

The rest depends on country of origin of your fiancee.
