Supplement for G-325A Employment Question

If I've included the employment information for the G-325A on another sheet of paper, does that sheet of paper have to be signed and dated in addition to the G-325A form itself?

I ask this because I had my fiance has sign all the other forms before I left Spain but didn't realize at the time that I would have to use another sheet for that question.

Will it be ok if just the 4 copies of the G-325A are signed by him OR does the supplement have to be signed by him as well?

Thanks so much!

Katie

I'm trying to be good and not start another topic to a question that's already been asked... but this one doesn't have an answer. sad.gif

I think I signed and dated mine, but I'm not sure. I may have just written my name at the top and the fact that it's a g-325a supplement.

=/ What do you think the chances are for getting an RFE if that page is not signed by the beneficiary? You think it would make it any better if I sign it? I read in one thread where someone used the space below(that says occupation- to enter another job) to fill in the address rather than creating a supplement to the G-325A.

I don't want an RFE... but I also don't want to have to wait to submit the I-129F because I have to send that page to G to have him sign it.

The G-325A instructions do not cover the answer to this question. I did read a posting from another member where he swearas with 100% certainty it is not necessary, but he is also wrong a large amount of the time.

The safe thing is to sign and date it but since it is the G-325A, go without the signature.

Technically the instructions for the G-325A are inherited from the foorm that requires it which is the I-129F. The I-129F does require each additional sheet to be signed and dated.

Tell you what, send it without additional signatures and I will accept the responsibility, OK. B-)

Well, the I-129F General Instructions, Step 1, Item 2 says:

"If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, indicate the item number, and date and sign each sheet."

I know your question is about the G-325a, but I would presume the instructions to apply across the board (and to be inherited from the 'mother form' per PP) and especially since we are dealing with the US Government.

IMHO, I would say to prevent anxiety, heartburn and a possible RFE, I would have him sign the sheet and send it to you. The extra days you spend up front may save you time (due to possible RFE delay) in the future.

What if I sign mine and not his? I would have him sign it except for Venezuela doesn't have the most reliable mailing system. Who knows how long it would take for me to get it back.

BTW, did I read your signature correctly?? You got your NOA2 in less than 2 months??

What if I signed it? And well, maybe it's possible I can fit the address in the blank? I've got to ask G for it first though. I just don't want to slow down this process, I'm on a roll!! lol

Audy_Rob is correct. The best guidance is to follow the recommendations for the I-129F. Having said that...

I used continuation sheets for the I-129F, as well as my fiancee's G-325A. There was simply no way to fit the information on the forms, even if written by hand. I labeled each continuation sheet at the top (example: My Name - Form I-129F - Address Attachment), and labeled each item on each continuation sheet (example: Form I-129F, Part B, section 2). However, I did NOT sign nor date ANY of the continuation sheets. This includes the 30+ pages I included for evidence for question 18. I knew that signing the continuation sheets was recommended, but I honestly just forgot to do it. My petition package was approved, and I did not receive any RFE's.

Now, this may depend heavily on who adjudicates the petition, but my suspicion is that they aren't bothered too much by whether or not you sign the continuation sheets, as long as they have a valid signature on the form itself. Just my 2 cents.

In the absence of your fiance signing the supplement, if you can squeeze it all in legibly, with the information in the appropriate boxes, I would say go for it.

Otherwise, its DHL.

Also, re: timetables for getting NOA2, it depends on when you filed and which service center you applied to. Audy_Rob and I applied to California and Vermont, respectively at roughly the same time. Audy_Rob got approval in 54 days, we got ours in 80.

Jen - 1) yes you can fit the address of employment below the Employer.

2) I am the old man that was married to a Venezolana for almost 23 years. Remember I said Venezuela doesn't have cuisine. You don't have to tell me about the Postal system. In La Pastora, Caracas where her family lived, they never delivered mail. Then one day, someone discovered heaps of undelivered mail in a trash dump along the hills. Basically about 8 months of mail had never been delivered.

3) I submitted mu I-129F in early February and was approved in 46 days. We have slowed down because my fiancee cannot come to the US until November. So we will mail in Packet 3 around the end of June to time her interview at the Embassy. We probably could have done the whole process in 4 to 4-1/2 months if we wanted. CSC was much faster than VSC. Now, I do not know.

Hi to jamonyqueso y to G Jen again!

First of all you guys don't need 4 copies of G325A anymore with one copy is enough nowadays. I told my fiance february when we sent the package: nooooo gotta be 4 just in caseee. Asked to ppl even called USCIS and everybody said with one was enough and they were right :)

About the work attachment i had to do one and yes, it has to be dated same day as the rest of papers and have original signature of the person who does that attachment.

Regarding you guys don't want to wait till receive the letter with the attachment i can tell you i did a mistake with the passport picture size and had to wait another 6 days till my fiance received the new pictures. But is better do things the proper way than see a post of you in some months saying that you just had an RFE and have to wait more than that right?

Best luck and God bless! ;)

Do your papers really all need to be dated the same? I mean in my case, I worked on different things on different days in a two week period. And my fiancee G325A and letter of intent was made a little less then a month ago when I was actually in Pakistan with her at the time.
