Well, Ahmed finally mailed all the paperwork to me now. I have the I-130 and the I-129 filed out and I have all the infomation that is needed for the K-3 visa. However I have a few questions: 1) do I send in the I-130 and I-129 at the same time? 2) what is the fees to send this in?

Please help me

Hello. I am new at this process as well, but I followed the guides. The best bet would be to turn in the I-130 and wait for NOA receipt. After you receive that, then turn in the I-129f. The fee is $355 for the I-130. Once you receive your NOA for the I-130 you won't have to pay the fee for the I-129F.

That is the proper procedure. While you're waiting for that NOA1, you'll have time to seriously consider whether to skip sending the I-129F and stick with the CR1 visa. Lots of discussion on that in this forum.

As pushbrk implied. At tis time the CR-1 is a much better visa and deserves looking into further. Processing time for the CR-1 has increased quite a bit in the last 2 years.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

I think you meant to type decreased or improved rather than "increased".

I am sure that many people are finding that the K-3 and CR1 are very comparable in processing time, however, you are going to have to go throught the Cairo Embassy for your visa, so I would take the time to look at the folks filing for CR1's in Egypt before you decide.

Cairo is it's own creature.
