Okay, so with all these people on here posting about their filing status, it got us thinking..... everyone always refers to themselves as "June Filers", July Filers", "August Filers", blah, blah, blah..... I love when people do this by the way ;) LoL.... It's just that we're confused about our status. We sent our petition in July '08, but we didn't receive our NOA 1 until August 18, 2008. My question is this.... DOES THAT MAKE US "JULY FILERS" OR "AUGUST FILERS"??? We would REALLY appreciate it if someone could explain this to us!!!! :) Alright.... I'll be here waiting.... thanks in advance for all of your help! ;) May God bless us all & grant us a SPEEDY APPROVAL!!!

we posted ours on the 30th april and our noa1 was dated the 1st may. i went by the date of my noa1 on the certificate. i just felt that it made more sence seen as the uscis claim to process in order of recieving it and not in order of the applicants postal date. and i wanted to talk to people who would be getting theirs processed in the same timeframe. so we are/was may filers. i would class you as august, ;)

When they say 'processed in the ordered received' it's important to remember that even if you sent your petition two weeks earlier you may have the same NOA1 date as someone who sent theirs two weeks later. ;) The ones received earlier will be separated from payment and processed sooner even if you have the same NOA1 date as someone who sent later.

What it comes down to is that it really doesn't really matter where you post.... you should join in where you feel most comfortable.

It means "moved by charles!"--you'll also see "mbk" when posts are moved by Kim of Kim & Russ. They make sure threads are in the appropriate forum.

Thanks KimandRuss! Your information was REALLY helpful. :) Thank you SOOOOO much! As far as what you said about it not mattering where we post... I couldn't agree with you more. I wasn't asking for help so I could know where to post though. LoL I was asking for help so we could know how many months we're looking at as far as processing dates go. :) Anyway, thank you for always being so helpful. May God bless you always! ;)
