Question on Part 5 of I-751

Hi,

My 2-year green card will expires on February next year and I’m starting to gather up all the documents I’ll need. On the I-751 form (Part 5) it says to “list all your children”, my question is do I have to list our child who is born (citizen) here or should I put “none” on the box under the “Name”?

Thanks!

List all your children: Your child born in the US (which is also an excellent proof of your relationship) and don't forget to include your child's birth certificate. If you have other children (who is also a conditional resident and will be applying with you), list them also (if this applies).

vsmtghdy,

I would refer you to the USCIS web site and instructions for filling out the I751

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-751instr.pdf

Part 5 of the instructions is titled "Conditional Resident Children" IMO the instructions only refer to conditional resident children applying to have their conditional resident status removed.

The instructions read " "In Part 5 of the form, please make sure to include any conditional resident children applying with you in order to have their conditional basis removed, or they may file separately. Please remember to provide their A-number."

on the form it says

Information About Your Children-List all your children
it doesn't specify conditional or not...

then under A# it says

A# (if any)

write your child's name on the form wher eit asks for it... then under A# put N/A

and then it says "If in U.S., give address/immigration status" so put the address and state that your child is a citizen...
