Well, I shall be joining you all soon: unofficially tomorrow, officially on the 28th. Seems a bit crowded in here though. No one has been approved to make room for PB&JAM and Corinthians. I'm going to want to bring some of my things with me to this thread, so I'll need A LOT of space. So looks like we're going to need at least... oh... maybe a dozen approvals before I join. :D I'll let both the service centers know.

In all seriousness, I'm so sorry that it's taking so long for your NOA2s. Reading through this thread, I feel like a selfish idiot. All day, all I can think is, "Oh poor me, I've waited almost six months!" I can't imagine waiting as long as some of you have been. I really hope that all of you are approved VERY SOON.

So, anyone find it odd that when we sign on to USCIS's website, we select "customer?" Yeah, we're paying customers. I'm kind of afraid to call USCIS. I'm afraid that I'll lose it on the phone and be a total b*tch. Part of me doesn't even want to try to be nice, but the other part knows it's probably best not to tick off people who have my whole life in their hands.

I know this isn't a very happy thought, but... is it possible that USCIS has lost some petitions here? Do they ever admit to that?

This is turning into a novel.

Again, I hope you all get your NOA2s ASAP!

~Stephanie

haha, yes I pray we clear out all these 6 + months applicants soon. I get increasingly perturbed to see october filers getting approved wen there are so many senselessly waiting. yes, we are paying customers! they need to have someone working on cold cases! the cold case files. haha, u see wat shows i like to watch on tv.

I'm afraid to call too, but only cause I get nervous talking on the phone. I'm so mousy n not at all assertive. Oh well, i'll start calling next Monday! I really would like to have a touch, just so i know my file isnt lost under a pile of dust!

Ok 6 monthers, get approved, i'm moving in in 2 days!

Calling them out doesn't change anything so don't worry. Customer service can't do anything good or bad. I've tried both angles.

NOA 2. Really?

Maybe your pictures are so gorgeous, the uscis doesn't want to part with them! Since u have a million touches, looks like they can't take their eyes off you two!

thanks Corinthians. I'll just call so at least i can feel like i did something...but i'm not getting my hopes up at all.

Sara, I really hope you are right about us being in the final stage. Actually, this is what the USCIS guy told us, too. I am confident in seeing an approval soon. I am still praying for everybody.

Kiwie, finally, some news!

For the newcomers: I hope you won't get to be familiar with this thread, as you will get your NOA2's!! We don't want you here!:no::no::no:

So, last week we contacted the senator, and it was a really nice guy who said he'll help us, and give us a call in a few days. Guess what? That Senator is Ken Salazar, the one who Obama wants in his cabinet...so, no more Senator Salazar for me, and I assume that his staff is no longer doing what they were doing. Now, if we don't get our NOA2 these days, we will need to contact a different Senator. Isn't this fun ????

Oana, I also think your NOA2 is just around the corner.

When they say wait for 2 weeks it means in fact 2 months and maybe it's also the other way around and 90 days will mean at max 9 days :)

Good luck!

Hey y'all.

According to my NOA1, CSC received my petition exactly 6 months ago. So I called USCIS. I was transferred to some chick who told me that she would contact CSC and I'd hear back from them within 30 days as to what the hold up is. Does anyone know if should I just expect to get a letter back saying, "You're in Security Checks" or has this ever actually helped anyone? Should I still contact my senator or wait until I've received this mysterious response from CSC?

Thanks!

Customer service wouldn't do a service request for me, so I contacted my Senator first. I think it just depends on what you feel is best.

The real question is how could a Canadian get stuck in security checks????

NOA 2. Really?
