I have plans to go on vacation to my country in December, I haven't gotten my interview yet and I am afraid I'll get the interview during the days I'll be away. Is there any way to make sure that I don't get the interview during the days I'll be away or there is no way to know? Thanks.

I don't think there is a way to know. But, if you get it during the days you are away, you can reschedule. Although, it is not recommended since it might be months before they schedule you another one.

N400: D/O - Las Vegas, NV

10/10/08 : N-400 Mailed to CSC.

10/13/08 : N-400 received

10/16/08 : money order presented for payment

10/20/08 : NOA received ; case transferred to NBC

10/16/08 : date of notice

10/14/08 : priority date

10/27/08 : FP Notification received

11/13/08 : scheduled for FP and done

01/21/09 : IL received

03/23/09 : Interview scheduled and completed successfully!

Happy and waiting for oath letter- 4 to 6 weeks according to the IO........

04/11/09 : Received Oath letter (scheduled for May 1)

05/01/09 : Took oath!! A very special day for me and my family!

Hi. They gave me 1 month notice of the upcoming interview. If you get it before your vacation, you can reschedule if needed (however, not recommended). If you don't get it, you might be ok going to your vacation. They do seem to send it differently to people, so this was just in my case. I am not sure you can ask for an earlier date if they haven't scheduled you.

Interview schedule is varied from each District Office to another District Office based on their resource constraint and facility.

But it is normally scheduled after your FBI namecheck done.

In order to make sure that your interview is not scheduled for your vacation time,

you may check with your local district office for InfoPass and asked for detailed information.

Or let them know for your vacation schedule.

But it is all varied from DO to DO.

If DO is not busy, then they can assist you better.

But if DO is busy such as NYC or something like that, they may not have resource to deal with each indivisual's request.
