Please, someone tell me that they've found a place that will ship bread over. We froze some loaves on our last visit and imported them via our luggage, but that was in August, and we've run out.

I don't care what it costs, I just want to find a loaf of Hovis or Kingsmill.

I found a great bread in the bakery section of our local HEB, just last week! :D

of course, we got the last one, but I'm hoping it's something they make regularly ;)

I can't imagine that you'd find many places importing bread, Gwen... by the time it got here it would be stale

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

We randomly found chocolate digestives at our local co-op here in Iowa and occasionally, we'll find other things as well. Stu still has to have family and friends send him HP sauce though.

I miss HEB in Dallas (I love their selection of cheese and bread) and I miss World Market as well because I could get Tim Tams there (not a Brit food, but still awesome!)

Tim Tams are awesome! I've never tried drinking anything through them though. Something new to try when I have them again!

You have missed out big time

I learnt to do it in OZ

You have to bite off the diagonal corners, slightly dunk the one of the ends with the bite out into your tea or coffee and suck

Then you have to be quick to shove the entire think in your mouth in one go

Heaven

yes, and you Brits think your Penguins are as good *scoffing*

(actually I can't easily tell the difference  )

I have a BIG tin of Tim Tams in the cupboard, sent from my mum for Chrisbus :)

there's been so much stuff to eat I'm just letting them quietly lie fallow, and will get them out at some later (treatless) date ;)

there are Cheezels as well, but they're reserved for a TRUE emergency - I'm thinking of enclosing them in a glass case with an axe nearby

i found a store when i visited florida that had basic stuff, digestive biscuits, marmite and lemon curd amongst other things! it was more like general "international" foods as there was lots of german and asian food (and beer) there too which was also nice, mm choco leibniz. ;) the selection wasn't huge but it was better than nothing.

you got lucky. there's a whole bunch in south carolina! there aren't any in ms where i'm going to. :crying:
