Just wanted to share good news, I had my interview for the IR visa on Tuesday Oct. 14th, and today picked up my passport at the DHL office on Tverskaya street, I am flying to the USA tomorrow.

Consul asked me just two questions, how have we met and if I was in Turkey ( my name must have matched someone). It was way too easy and simple. I got to the Embassy at 7:30 and stood 30 minutes in line, there were just 10 people there for immigrant visas. I was not asked to show any documents or photos or anything. It took two full days from the interview to get my package, Embassy forwarded to the DHL on Thursday and I could pick it up on Friday morning. So everything worked out just great.

I am so happy we are so done done!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Congratulations. I think we all spend months worrying endlessly about something that can sometimes go smoothly and it is always such a relief to know that it is behind us. Best of luck.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.
10/12 Tickets for her to America. I am flying to JFK to meet her there. 12/15/07 We are married. One year and a day after filling original K-1
12/27 Filed for AOS, EAD & AP 1/3 Received all three NOA-1's 1/22 Biometrics 2/27 EAD & AP received 4/12 Interview
5/19/08 RFE for physical that she should not have needed. 5/28 New physical ($ 250.00 wasted) 6/23 Green Card received
4/22/10 Filed for Removal of Contitions. 6/25 10 Year Green Card received Nov, 2014 Citizenship ceremony. Our journey is complete.

Thank you for all the congratulations! I am also happy to say, that I am already in Washington D.C. I flew out on Sat. and landed yesterday. At the immigration control they haven't asked me any questions either except why did I come here. It was all easy as well. It is funny but I think I am having a cultural shock once again. Being away for two years really kicks in.
