Any one know for sure if the DV is no longer required?? I know there are a couple of threads on this matter, but they seem to go off the topic..Please any news and updates would be really much appreciated...I have checked the packet/instructions at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf and it doesnt mention anything about DV..Also if you look at the bottom of the page its says (K1/K2 Applicants’ Interview Preparation Instructions – English/October 2008). So im assuming they must have just revised this packet this oct...Thanks everyone for the help...Ray

I took a quick browse of the Embassy website and saw nothing about DV. perhaps someone who is at that part of the process will find out and post an answer.

the previous posts on this issue if the OP may notice, was NEVER off topic. it was accurate as well as informative. :innocent:

I couldn't even begin to count the number of times similar topics about questions on the process have been repeatedly posted on VJ. perhaps you could have posted a link to your thread instead of sarcasm. ;)

all is good. :thumbs: just didn't want the OP to feel embarressed by asking a question. some common repeated questions: is it ok to buy a one way ticket, how to answer question #11 on the I-134... the list can go on and on.... I've seen some of your other posts. you've been very helpful to other members. keep it up :thumbs:

well i just wanted to clarify for sure the dv was gone. in some of the other threads it seemed that people were saying it was still there and saying you still need to pay. it seems like this is concrete now that the dv is no longer required. well no matter what he or she says or asks, we are all here to help one another......thanks for the info :dance:

Whatever the case may be. If DV has been put on hold or sh*tcanned I wish to all those currently filing and waiting a speedy process.

Hi Everyone! :D:D:D

I just got my visa approved last Tuesday, October 14, 2008. After I was interviewed by a consul. I was asked to sit and wait at the waiting area again for my number to be called at window 37 or 38. After a few minutes of chatting with some applicants, my number was flashed at the counter. I was called to proceed at Window 37. The lady gave me the instructions and handed me the pink slip together with my confirmation letter i printed from my email.

After she gave me the instructions, I asked her if I should pay again for the mailing of my visa and passport or am i done since I paid ahead of time with the P650 at Metrobank. Then the lady at the window 37 told me that the document verification is not needed anymore and that I will asked the Delbros staff at the booth if they can refund my P650 since it's no longer needed.

So i went to the Delbros booth asked the in charge there if they could refund but I got no luck and just went paid the P250 for the courier service instead. Don't feel like arguing that day. Lol!

I hope this will give answers to everybody. I'm hoping for my visa to be delivered within 2 weeks.

Cheers!

Angel

:luv::luv::luv:

Oh! About the Cenomar. They also asked me about that. So good thing I had it requested 2 months before I went to my interview. I intentionally requested for that for CFO but I decided to bring it along with me because I have that feeling that they will ask for that since CFO is also asking for it. That's one of the important document an applicant needs to obtain before the interview date as it may take 7-10 days to arrive after it has been requested.
