Wow, thanks everybody for all the support!

brnidokiegurl--Congrats on your approval! That's awesome news. I'm sure NVC will go faster for us.

Garu--Thanks so much for thinking of me and for all the helpful info. I looked into the police certificate issue a while back, and I THINK they're not needed for Mexican applicants. (I'm pretty sure police certificates are listed as "not available" in Mexico on the State Dept. website, and hence not required.) I need to double-check this with folks on the Mexico subforum, though.

Although my journey has been longer than most, I've been blessed with a very patient wife and the financial resources to be able to visit her every 2 months or so. I know many people here have far worse situations. So today I'm extremely grateful and not bitter. I wish all of you who are still waiting a quick approval.

01/12/08: I-130 sent to VSC
02/11/08: NOA1
10/14/08: NOA2
11/18/08: Case complete at NVC
02/04/09: Interview--CR1 visa granted!
02/05/09: POE in El Paso, TX

Removal of Conditions Timeline
01/08/11: I-751 package sent to VSC
01/11/11: NOA1
02/08/11: Biometrics appointment
08/16/11: Approved!
08/20/11: 10-year green card received

Citizenship Timeline

03/03/14: N-400 sent to Dallas, TX

04/03/14: Biometrics appointment

05/21/14: Interview--passed!

07/30/14: Oath ceremony

02/20/2008. I-130 NOA1 date. Vermont Service Center

08/26/2008. Touched. (I-130 transferred to California Service Center)

08/27/2008. Touched.

08/28/2008. Touched. (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)

08/29/2008. Touched.

another touch on 10/16 and still not approved.

i'm sure its coming azer. i was transferred on 8/27 and still haven't had a single touch since it was received at CSC on 9/5/08.

keep your head up.

How do you guys know that you got trasnferred to CSC?

Well I received email that was saying that it was transferred to CSC. In addition you receive letter by mail saying the same thing.

Timeline:
