I recommend waiting for buying the plane ticket. Once after interview buy your ticket. The chances of getting a denial on CR1 visa are low, however, possible. There is always chances of AP. So to be on the safe side...wait.

Also, please fill in your timelines as it helps you and everyone else. It won't take more than 5 mins.

i wonder what do you want to proof? maybe you want to proof ongoing relationship but yeah its very good idea

i think the chances of getting a denial is kinda low but maybe they will put you in approve for a while so its not good idea to buy the ticket now

Good luck

it depends on the Embassy some allow the USC and some not .we are talking about India here and they allow the USC to attend to the interview

I brought my husband with me at the day of my interview, but when the officer called me in the window, I went to the window alone, and then later asked my husband if he was there with me.. The officer asked me to call him, and he talked to my husband and verified some of our documents..

The interview lasted for about 15-20 minutes i think.. and we got approved.. i will suggest to bring your wife, but every embassy has different procedure, it wont hurt if you will try.

Do not buy now. You have to wait until you got approved, because after the interview, you will still need to medical and such.. so it will take a while..

I'm in manila right now because i'm a student here. I'm the US citizen and my husband is applying for the CR-1 visa. I'm gonna be going home back to the states next week even before they schedule his interview. because at the time of the interview, the petitioner should be in the united states because you have to establish domicile. so i'm taking a semester off from school. i just don't wanna take any chances of my husband getting denied his visa. and NOOOO don't get your plane ticket just yet..
