I haven't heard anything yet. We haven't contacted NVC but I'm probably just going to wait until packet 3 turns up on my doorstep. I am going to delay sending it back anyway as I have a trip to the US in April. Because we are having a few issues we aren't rushing anything.

WOO HOO! Our begging worked! We just got an email from the embassy with packet 4 attached AND an interview date of April 13th at 8am (if you read my earlier posts they were saying May or June)!!! That means we can hopefully return together on the 19th!!!!! Just thought I'd update you guys!!!!

Wow Chelsea! This is great how did you make this happen so fast? I have been in Managua so I missed a few updates. I did write the Embassy here to introduce myself and they wrote back in 30 mins. A very good sign. They can't do much until they have the packet. Maybe I will do a little calling today just to see. It has only been a few days but I really want Balvino to come back with me on the 30th. It may be possible. I am so happy for you!

While you are waiting for the Approval it feels like us against the world. Once you have progress something changes. Balvino and I feel it. He is away for a few days which I think is a good thing. This is hard and I think it will be harder once we are in the states but we love each other. Good Luck.

Josue D. C****

It worked! I don't know who made the final decision, because the first email we got that said May or June was in Spanish, but the reply to this one that gave us the date of 4/13 8am and attached packet 4 was in English. Someone who had gone through Guatemala last year said the ones at the front from Guatemala tend to be not as nice as the Americans who actually do the interview lol!

Talk to Yader & Sarah, they got through pretty fast in Managua, right???

It'll change back once you get the packet and the interview date. Then it's "get your tail moving to get these papers done, that medical scheduled, those pictures taken, etc!!"

Anyone had luck with taking their own passport style pictures? I'm thinking about taking them of him once I get down there since we have a couple days before the interview.

There are about fifty couples on the list for VSC in OCT 08 and we are still seeing oneses and twoses from AUG and SEP. The real bummer is that we are starting to see more NOV aprovals than OCT.

Makes it harder because we met this time last year. Like you say when you see November being approved and what seems to be the rest of middle/ end of October it makes you feel like they have forgot about us?? Hi Michele. I'm John.

Yes (or maybe I should say Yep) The Rodeo started Saturday.

And yes, waiting and waiting while applications get approved is a little bit hard on the nerves. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it but wait. Can't help having the feelings that go with it either, unless you're a Vulcan or something.
