Well after much drama I have an interview date of July 16 and a medical date of July 15 weeeee!

Well, I'm back. It's been a busy few weeks, but Cris got the visa and we have made the reservations to get her to Houston.

I hope those of you still held up in the system get approved and things get moving for you.

Hey thats fantastic news!!! Well done!!! I know what a huge task it was getting all the forms filled in and documents together etc... I should be out late August if everything goes according to plan. Should be having interview sometime in July, hopefully!!! Keep well and glad this part of the visa journey is over for you... not long until Cris is there and you can tackle things together !! M x

Thanks! She was worried about the interview, but says it was no problem.

I just hope this morning's news about that Air France Flight from Rio doesn't keep her from getting on the plane.

Remember the four of us are supposed to have a drink some where after you get to Houston.

Congrats Beans ! I dont write too much but do follow this thread and You had Your share of drama. Glad its going in the right direction for you now ! Good Luck !

Anya and I are getting our share of drama now... She had her interview on 5 May at the Tashkent Embassy everything went well BUT came up short on a Police Cert from Turkey. Just UNBELIEVABLE !! Now we are dealing with the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent to get this out of the Turkish Justice Dept in Ankara ... trust me its been 4 weeks of drama between the Turkish Embassy not knowing what info they wanted / needed , the Turkish Justice Dept telling Us we have to go thru the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent and the US Embassy in Tashkent telling us it "only" takes 2 or 3 days to get this Cert .... UGH !

If we dont get the Cert by the middle of June I think we will go to Turkey and get the Cert in Person ! The waiting is too much.... !!!

Interview scheduled for June 18. If all goes well, hopefully she can be here before July! Getting excited thinking about that.

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth driving 40 minutes each way.

I did an infopass appointment once but not during the waiting period. I went to ask questions regarding items that needed to be in the petition. They looked at my paperwork and gave me advice. They did seem to be knowledgeable about the requirements but I have no idea if they could help with pending petitions. If it gives you peace of mind I would go. Good Luck! The waiting is so hard but worth it.

Hello October family. So nice to read all of your updates. We see now that all gets in line after a while. I'm glad to see you're moving along, with or without obstacles!!!

We are still waiting for an interview in montreal....it's taking a long time since the consulate has had our info in their system since May 5th, but because they are so overworked, still no interview...no biggie since I'm actually looking to move in August...just hope to get the visa before the 15th....but will see. All I can do is wait and get to enjoy my family and friends as much as I can before I leave. Although Albany is only about 4hours from Montreal, I know I won't see them as much..

Can't wait to mooooove and be married to the love of my life! My kids miss their daddy.....ok just had to say that.
