hey guys, i just hangged up after talking to grace coz i was doing a follow-up on my visa and she did say these exact words:

"MA'AM, WE USED TO DO DOCUMENT VERIFICATION BUT RIGHT NOW SINCE THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF BACKLOGS, WE ARE NOW ASKING FOR THE ORIGINALS DIRECTLY FROM THE APPLICANT, THIS NOW INCLUDES THE MARRIAGE INDEX FROM IR1, CR1, K3 APPLICANTS"

dang..i guess some got lucky..

Can you explain what (the marriage index is)??? Is this just the marriage certificate? Please reply thanks in advance

No. It is a different document. Just request a CENOMAR and if you're married you will be given a CENMAR or "certificate of marriage". See my other post regarding your inquiry.

Hi Everyone!

I just got my visa approved last Tuesday, October 14, 2008. After I was interviewed by a consul. I was asked to sit and wait at the waiting area again for my number to be called at window 37 or 38. After a few minutes of chatting with some applicants, my number was flashed at the counter. I was called to proceed at Window 37. The lady gave me the instructions and handed me the pink slip together with my confirmation letter i printed from my email.

After she gave me the instructions, I asked her if I should pay again for the mailing of my visa and passport or am i done since I paid ahead of time with the P650 at Metrobank. Then the lady at the window 37 told me that the document verification is not needed anymore and that I will asked the Delbros staff at the booth if they can refund my P650 since it's no longer needed.

So i went to the Delbros booth asked the in charge there if they could refund but I got no luck and just went paid the P250 for the courier service instead. Don't feel like arguing that day. Lol!

I hope this will give answers to everybody. I'm hoping for my visa to be delivered within 2 weeks.

Just today I started tracking my visa. I was just hoping maybe I will get updates by now. Then to my surprised, I was updated!

I was approved last October 14, 2008 that was last Tuesday and now my viosa is ready for delivery! So meaning we all need not to worry anymore about that DV.

The only think I noticed. They took all my original copies of my NBI, Birth Certificate and Cenomar. But I don't mind since I can get it again at NSO.

Here's my tracking updates:

I waited very long before also and I almost give up. I never thought I would get a fast processing like this now. I had a long battle as well. Made a lot of arguments with my fiance because of the long waiting. I guess it paid off with all my fiance and I went through for this.

You waited 6 months for everything to be done. Thats not too bad. You dont have to wait too long. On their website, the estimated time is 8-12 months.

6 months would have been speedy back in '06. took us 9 months.

9 months not bad either. i'm just glad now that my burden is almost done and i'm stressed free. lol! been having so much stress and pressures with this processing.

we filed CR1 last june 2008 then i am having my interview on Oct 22,2008 and just had my medical last Oct 15 and everyhting goes smooth(passed)......

that was really quick. same with my friend's case. they just had it for 4 months. depends how you're making follow-ups and everything.

i was interviewed last october 3rd, JUST PINK SLIP.

when i called earlier to ask about the status of my visa, grace said it has been printed but not yet released. they will hopefully release it next week together with other visas just done today. well i hope a lot of us here will hear good news next week!

at least now i can relax my thoughts on my visa..hopefully in god's grace i'll have it with me soon..i wish the same for everyone out here waiting..
