I don't have a page on Facebook but you're all making me wonder about it. Problem is you can't see anything about it without creating an account first. :(

What I'm wondering about though is where do you find the time to keep up with the forum here, email, your FB account and maybe the other forums you might be a member of? Maybe it's me who takes too much time proofreading myself before I post but I find it takes forever. Luckily I'm not working right now which is why I've been posting so much lately but when I start working again, I don't see when I'll have the time.

I know! I hate that it makes you join up. At least tell us something about it first. Sheesh. Makes you more inclined to create dummy accounts so you can at least see what you're getting into first.

Oh.... if I worked..... I wouldn't have the time to be online too. Basically, I just log on, continue about my day doing my housework and stuff, and then check out the new posts every once in a while when I'm walking by. FB doesn't really take too much of my time, though. It's pretty quick and easy.

Don't write more than two lines and just skim when you proofread

Krikit - Maybe I'll give it a try then. Don't think I'll be using my real name on there though. Can't be too cautious on the internet. Once you've created an account, can you change the name if you want or you have to create another account?

Trailmix - Yeah, no more than two lines. I can see myself typing multi-posts to complete my replies!

if you change ur name to something else, no one can find ya,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I actually sit there sometimes wondering what I should update my "status" to on facebook. Like I feel obligated to change it whenever I log in, and I don't know why.

But I'll sit there sometimes for a few minutes going: "Hmm what should I put there?"

Well, you always have such good advice, like "Take your boss for a walk and throw her down the stairs". Maybe you should use it as an advice giving opportunity, "Sprailenes tip of the day", rather than "Sprailenes is...."

I always wish I could think of something clever, but tend to be boring with my status updates. The main thing is to avoid being a miserable cow in your updates. My sis inlaw is always a miserable cow, hence the desire to put her on block.

Perhaps I shall do this! Thank you!

Donne moi une poptart!

Ok, I created an account on Facebook. Now I'm trying to figure out all the controls and stuff. Mind-boggling

I've set my profile and such to be visible only for friends but when I do a search on my name, it shows "View profile" as one of the options. Did I do something wrong or is it normal because it is me doing the search on me?

I just did a search on my name to see what you were talking about. lol. You can see your profile because you're you. Try searching for somebody else.
