Hey relax.. Dont worry too much.. Stress can make your medical into worst one..

You can easily check yourself if you have one, by facing the mirror and raising your one arm and massage your breast..

If you did not touch any "bukol" you will be fine.

But what happens if they find a lump? It's not contagious so it shouldn't slow anything up, right?

Glad to see this topic, coz I have same problem thats been bothering me lately. I just found out some lump on my breast but I haven't consulted a doctor yet to confirm...maybe i will soon. I was just afraid this gonna hamper our visa application especially during my future medical exam. But thanks for this info...it gives me a lil relief eventhough this health problem still bothers me. :crying:

The US Embassy is primarily concerned with communicable diseases. But do check if you have a lump and consult your doctor. Regardless of whether you're planning to migrate or not, this should be attended to as soon as possible.

Don't worry too much, they don't usually do a thorough medical/physical exam. And if it is getting near your monthly period, there's usually a palpable lump and/or engorgement that maybe due to hormones and not necessarily a lump or mass per se (benign or malignant). That is why BSE (Breast Self Exam) is advised to be done monthly but at least 5-7 days after your monthly period. But if you are concerned that this "lump" had been there for a long time, then an "excisional biopsy" may be warranted. But with your age it would most likely be a benign fibrous cyst. Having a "lump" in the breast or any where else in the body is not a reason for visa denial. So think happy thoughts and just relax. Good Luck and God Bless.
