Rachel, when's your flight? better bring a live lobster. remember our plan to breed a fil-am lobster too! :P

Rachel leaves Philippines Friday, Dec. 5th, Northwest airlines, POE Detroit where I will fly there to meet her, then we will go to Ohio for a week to visit my son before coming back here to Maine.

We decided to wait a year before having baby fil-am lobster. hehehe

We are a little unsure if she will have to pay the travel tax. It might already be included in her ticket. I got the ticket here in the states from my travel agent. The ticket states:

"THIS PRICE INCLUDES AIRFARE, TAX, AGENT FEES AND SECURITY FEES"

so if anyone else has flown NWA, could you let me know if she still has to pay the travel tax.

I know she still has to pay the P750 terminal fee.

Congrats to everyone who have received their visa's. and for those waiting, it will come at the right time.

dphus,

I dont know if the Index of Marriage you mentioned and Marriage certificate from NSO are the same thing. I showed my CO a copy of our NSO Marriage Certificate when i was interviewed.

Good luck with your visa!

Yeah the two are different. Just wondering if your case is similar to mine as your interview date is the same. Good luck as well :)

Hi there James! I flew with NWA last October. Matt purchased it online in their US website. The tax that was mentioned on the ticket receipt is the sales tax... not the travel tax in the airport. Dont worry, whatever the case may be, they'll be pulling up her record when she checks in the NWA counter. They'll inform her if she needs to pay travel tax and she dont have to fall in line again to get the boarding passes. Its P1620 for non-immigrants or P1750 (i think) for immigrants.

Have a safe trip you guys! :)

Actually my wife did. She was notified by the US embassy a month after her interview that she needed to submit the marriage index. Now we have waited a month after submitting the index and still no word.

i see, they're not the same. so, did you submit an Index of Marriage? The Embassy didnt require me to.
