Is anyone else's husband tip-happy? Up until a week ago I was the one paying for most things although he'd fill in here and there when he could. Well now my husband pays for the food and the gas and some other items. Yesterday when we checked out at the grocery store (a fairly large chain, not a mom and pop) he told the cashier to "keep the change". I've never done that before. He did the same thing when we went to another food place where we got some semi-prepared food.....he told them to "keep the change".

I have yet to experience this since he just started working...I seriously hope for you it was just change and not dollars!!!

Not a lot of money but seriously I've never tipped a cashier at a grocery store before! I think the bill was $178 and change and he gave the girl $180. She was just as shocked!

Oh heck no, I'd have a problem with that...haha..Then again, I nickel and dime everything. For example, if a friend owes me $10, I'll go put it in the bank when they pay it back and put it right back where it belongs :P

I'm so so sleepy and bummed this morning. I had to take my sick parrot to the emergency vet last night because she was vomiting and had to leave her overnight, then this morning transfer her to her normal vet where she's at now. I feel awful for her. :(

Bridget - your husband sounds like a sweetie, bless his heart.

Well I have a big project due tonight, and guess what, did you guess correct right that nothing is done yet. You bet nothing is done, I am on this legal team that has done nothing NOTHING, so this weekend I tried to put a proposal together, now one team member called and said, OMG we have to have this done by TONIGHT, REALLY, NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that I haven't sent 100 emails all weekend, so this should be a great freaking day, so now at 2:00, we are going to try to put this thing together. I have a rough draft and I am going to make them go my way since I did all the freaking work already and am not going back from step one. OMG maybe an alien ship will come down and take me out of this hell before tonight. I always have hopeful thoughts. Have a good one everyone.

Definitely NOT. My husband thinks we are nuts for tipping 15-20% for restaurant servers! If it were up to him he would put a few quarters down after a meal.

Awww...I hope your little baby is ok...

I have an African Grey also..her name is Casey. She has never been sick...thankfully. I have had her almost 10 years now. How long have you had yours? Is this the first major sickness? I hope she's better soon and it doesn't cost you a fortune.

My husband will tell cashiers at the McD drive-thru to keep the change, usually a few coins (although now he usually uses the debit card). But he didn't like me tipping 20% at restaurants, although that discussion did take place when we were broke and had no business going to restaurants anyway.
