Hello everyone! Does anyone here can answer me about some issues? I am scheduled for interview on November 3, 2008 for my K-3 visa application. My husband has no job since September 25, 2008, his income in 2007 was only $7000, and his money in his savings is $2000-$3000. Is there a possibility that I will be approved or denied? What will happen? I hope someone can answer my query because I'm desperate for some information about it

If that is the only financial support to show, you will be denied.

Thank you so much for your comment! Yeah, I am also thinking about that. But he thinks everything will just be okay and that it is just positive and there will be no problem regarding the interview.

Thank you for your comment! No, he is not disabled. He is into real estate, but it is very slow now(actually it's almost a year now) due to the recession, so he got a new job from March-September 2008. Right now he is waiting for interview schedules on new jobs he applied for. Well, he thinks everything will be okay with the interview at the Embassy and that it is positive to be granted a visa. I doubt it, on the other hand. I really have apprehensions on this matter. He just really think that there will be no problem with his bank statement(with little money in it).

Yes, I think so too! But for him it is just okay and that evrything will be fine. He is positive I will be granted a visa. Do you think a joint sponsor is needed for I-134? Thank you for the comment!

There's a good possibility you can obtain a visa if you have a co-sponsor. You will almost assuredly be denied without one.

A joint sponsor would be strongly recommended! Can he ask family, friends, business partners to help?

Alternatively, does he have substantial amounts invested in stocks, bonds or real estate?

The tax return for 2007 and lack of letter from employer will certainly be a problem for the I-134.

If that is the only financial support to show, you will be denied.

Hello everyone! I would like to correct something regarding my query. My husband just told me that he is still connected with the same company he was working with since March 2008. The games just finished last September 25, but he is still connected with the company. He told me also that his employer(Centerplate) gave him an employment certificate to be used for my petition. Would this help now? Would it make a difference with I-134? Thank you all!!!

I don't think that will change anything. He still has to meet the poverty guidelines, and your best bet is for your husband to get a co sponsor, or else you will be denied.

Hope this helps.
