hi everyone! My problem is that my fiancee's NBI clearance states REMARKS: NO RECORDS ON FILE is this right? If this is wrong what should we do to change it? Do we still need his police clearance or NBI is enough already? I need your help! Thank YOu

That's exactly how the remarks of her NBI should be for her not to find any problem during her interview. If she's been in another country within 6 months then she needs to get a police clearance from that country. Good luck!

NO RECORDS ON FILE - first time applicants with no criminal records or pending case

NO DEROGATORY RECORDS - renewal of the NBI clearance with no criminal records or pending cases

Either of these two, you are safe, so relax okay? :)

I-130 for Parents (Mom and Dad)

3.15.2014: Mailed I-130 Packet for Mom and Dad

3.21.2014: Received email notification with case # for both petitions; case forwarded to NBC for processing

3.21.2014: Check cashed

3.22.2014: Hard copy NOA1 received

4.08.2014: Both I-130 approved (notification received via email) - It only took three weeks!!!

4.11.2014: Received NOA2 approval notice in the mail.

5.01.2014: Called NVC to ask for status of paperwork. Advised they received both application on 4.28. Advised to call in 30 business days for an update.

6.02.2014: Email notification received from NVC that shows parents' NVC case number and instructions to pay AOS Fee and fill out DS 261.

6.03.2014: Paid AOS fee ($88 for both petitions)

4.26.2013: Mailed N400 Packet

5.21.2013: Biometrics

7.18.2013: Testing and Interview

9.25.2013: Oath Ceremony

That is what it should be on the NBI Clearance. NO RECORD ON FILE means the applicant have no criminal records/pending cases on their files.

06 March 2010 - received I-797C, Notice of Action/Receipt

27 April 2010 - received I-797C/ Request to Appear for Naturalization Interview

02 June 2010 - Interview schedule

On my nbi clearance it says "No record on file".... its renewal... there was no problem. But i got police clearance as well just in case. Its only PhP200.
