We already decided - if and when we have kids NO names after family members. There is just to many of them and I know that if we pick one over the other there will be hurt feelings and there is no way I am having a dozen pickney with 3 names each just to accomodate everyone. So we will probably use our middle names or something but we are going to leave it at that for the whole "naming after someone" thing.

Yards I was always the only one with my name from elementary to college...if I met someone with my name they were also Jamaica, but people always remembered my name even from grade school

i couldn't do Cuba, KUDOS to those that have though.. the gubment can give u a really hard time when they "think" u are doing something against the US... a friend of mine looked up Ronald Reagan's SSN out of curiousity (even though that is the first thing they tell us not to do) and she was questioned by FBI, not 2 hrs after she did it and was often followed by a "black car" off and on for 3 mths after.. w/ the passport page being taken out i guess u would be safe, but BIG BROTHER is always WATCHING LOL

That is how I would want my kids too. I hated having a class with 4 Heathers or whatnot. Heather S, T, H and B I want my kids to just have a unique name that they don't have to share with half their neighborhood.
