Good idea Damien! That's what I was hoping we could all do. And share our experiences of time frames ect.

I have it all ready. I'll post my list later too.

Him in-doors loves the Marmite...and he's American, very strange.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. The embassy sent out package 3 on Monday, so I'm just waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully tomorrow?!? Just found out I need to have an MMR jab too! Argh! And I'm STILL waiting for my police certificate, I sent off the forms last Tuesday. I know it may take 10 working days, but I've seen fellow VJ Fliers get theirs in 4 days. I'm a tad worried. Should I email them?

Welcome to our boat!

MMR, not a problem I don't think, however, I do know my doctors don't keep the adult MMR in stock - it has to be ordered in. When did you have your medical?

My police cert came in less than a week. Don't worry yet...well not until your really read to send packet 3 back anyway. You could always drop them a line, it'll do no harm I guess.

Hi, I got a letter today from NVC saying that within a week they'd send the packet my fiance' needs in order to fill out and do. About how long does it take for them to process this packet and when roughly do you think the interview will be? It's the London Consulate.

And will it be possible for her to reschedule her appointment at a later date, possibly a month or so? She's under the iron stranglehold of some very unforgiving South Asian parents that firmly believe in arranged marriages and me being the white devil they'd never live that down, but the problem is that she is going to be in a bind finishing her final year of school if she's kicked out of her home and has nowhere to really go. The fear here is that she's afraid of being sent off somewhere on a whim with her family some time in the next couple of months and if they staple that visa into her passport and her family decides to whimsically travel out of England and her parents see it, she's going to be in a world of not-very-nice-things.

Upon the mountain of that which would undo us, our banner shall fly highest.

I understand that the NOA2 is vaild for 4 months only. Once you have the K1 in your passport you have 3 months to use it. So 7 months from whatever date your NOA2 is. 7 months from now is April/May. I hope this helps.

The process can be slow or fast depending on how quick you send your packet 3 back. As for asking for a later interview date ect...I don't know the answer. I'm sure you could, but most of us want it quicker!

I beg your pardon. It's 6 months in which to enter the USA and use the K1. I was thinking of this at work today. So you'll have a little more time! Good luck.

After NVC sends the case to the London embassy how long does it take to get packet 3 from them? Also does the NOA2 mean that we have to have packet 3 back to them before the expiery date that is on the NOA2? Is there an email or phone where we can follow up on our case once NVC has sent it to the emabssy? Just wondering when that packet 3 will arrive.

Hi The Dip Sticks,

You can call DOS (Department of State), and they can let you know where your case is at, and when/if the embassy has posted packet 3 to you.

Department of State

Hope this helps,

What you see here and what you see on Igoes list is only a FRACTION of applications in the USCIS, you have to remember that not all applicants are members of this forum.

Found out ours was forwarded to embassy on the 30th September. So the day before they sent us a letter to say they would it out within a week

Hopefully on monday or tuesday we can phone dos, again and find out if the embassy has got it. I'd have thought that 13 days was enough and then maybe they will send us our packet three though judging by their recent history with our case i wouldn't be suprised if they forget. so i got the packet three off Nick-nick. She deserves a huge star :star: :star: for the ammount of help gives out. just about to go read through it again and do some paper work for it.

has anyone ordered a spare birthcertificate on line? how long does it take and does anyone get that how code thingy that knocks a couple of quid off the price?

Actually how do you do that dhl tracking thingy if they dont give you a reciept number?

We're still waiting for ours to leave the NVC...as of Friday it was still at the NVC under Administrative Processing.

I keep hoping maybe their records hadn't updated, or something, but we still wait :(

We're in the process of getting everything for the packet 3 done and ready to just pop it in the mail once Sarah gets it...

We are hoping to get an interview around end of December, as I'll be there and can go with her, and also her tentative date to come to the US is in February...so we're putting down Travel Date of February, and hopefully they'll give us a later interview date.

But still wainting!
