Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all well. I have always used pre paid phone cards to call my fiance in the Philippines. I have saved every one. Will these be of any use to her at her interview?

Maybe, if in addition to other evidence. I'd switch my calling method to one that provides call records.

We have over a thousand emails to each other and proof of my three visits to see her. Will not having written phone records really make a big difference at her interview?

Same exact answer as above, "maybe". I'd switch my calling method. If I were in your shoes, I would have done it months ago.

I've been using a virtual calling card from callingcardplus.com for over 6 months now. You can print out calling records (they only save the current and previous months so make sure you print it out in time!). It shows the 'from' number so make sure you are calling from a non-blocked number, preferrably your home or cell phone. Of course it also shows the 'to' number, and the country dialed. You may also want to tie that back somehow to your home phone or cell phone bill.

Hope that helps.

I have wondered about this as well.

I only use a calling card but it does export teh records monthly. I save those and our skype conversations (approx 150pages a month).

problem is we both dislike typing so we never email. I call her 3-4x per day or we use webcame chat via skype. But I would hazard a guess those chat and pphoen records would suffice.

I can say that my previous K-1 approval was approved with only 3 emails as proof of ongoing relationship. (this was in 2002)

Word of warning, if you really do not have more proof than that do not marry. :-)

There is actually never any requirement to prove phone calls and certainly not at petition time. When a couple feels the need to document the bona fides of their relationship with records of phone calls, they are wise to show a record of the originating and receiving phone numbers.

In other words, if your proof of relationship is going to hinge on phone records, used up cards that don't say who called whom are not going to be much evidence.

Nobody looked at any phone records in our case but if they had, they would have shown calls between my phone and my wife's that matched the numbers listed on all our paperwork.

NOT REALLY, BUT IT IS BETTER TO HAVE FEW OF THOSE EMUMIRATED EVIDENCES. MINE THEY DID NOT ASK ME FOR THAT BUT I STILL SHOWED IT TO THEM. HUSBAND HAS AT LEAST HAS 3 CALL RECORDS IN HIS PHONE BILL. THEY DID NOT ASK A LOT ANYWAY AT LEAST PRESENT THEM SOMETHING..
