Our cases were both approved TODAY, 09-26-08 at Vermont!!!

We requested expedited processing on our I-130 petition tuesday of last week, and the expedited processing was approved last friday. (3 days after the request)

VSC is moving since we got extremely lucky for our case to be expedited. I didn't expect them to approve the request, so I have hope for people still waiting. It can't be much longer. Good luck to everyone, and just remember that this whole wait is definitely worth it at the end.

Congrats! Thats wonderful news for you :D

Do you mind if I ask what reasoning you used to ask for expidition?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

It ALWAYS moved with expedites. People were approved in as little as 2 weeks..

You can say it moves when people WITHOUT expedites get approved, and they are not getting approved.

Ok, Mr. Obvious, of course it moves with expedites. I'm saying that VSC is finally moving because they approved our expedite. No questions asked. No evidence needed. One simple phone call and a few days later they granted it no problem. My reason was severe financial loss. It was surprising that they approved the expedite without any evidence or anything. That's why I said VSC is finally moving.

Your situation made me seriously consider requesting expedite too. My husband and I have several reasons (many more than simply missing each other) that would be enough to call and ask for an expedite. But before I saw your case, I was wondering if it would make any difference to call because they were denying most requests anyway. Maybe now they will hear us! I think we'll give it a try.
