Just wanted to say involving your state Congressman really does help.

Montreal is taking a life time to schedule an interview.So I had emailed

Vancouver and ask them if they would take my husbands case. They emailed

me back and said they would look into it. Two weeks went by and I never heard

back from them I emailed again and ask if they had decided to take it. They emailed

back and said it is still being considered.So this past Monday I contacted my Congressman

and ask them if they could contact Vancouver to see what was going on. So they sent an

email and inquired for me instead of Vancouver emailing the Congessman's office they emailed

me and said they were sorry it took so long to get back with me and wanted my husband's

current address. And a brief reason to why we wanted it transferred.So we emailed them back

with what they wanted. That was this past Wednesday today I got an email from Vancouver

saying they would take the case. They even sent an email to the Congessman's office as well.

Saying they would accept the case. Vancouver says they are now giving interview dates for mid

June.

Any suggestions from anyone on the best and least costly way to go from Toronto to Vancouver?

Wow... congratulations, Michelle!

I was just wondering how you were doing with the Montreal-Vancouver transfer. I'm glad they accepted your case. And mid-June is pretty soon.

Not many options when flying in Canada, Usually it's either Air Canada or west jet!! Try their home pages and comapre with expedia.ca or travelocity.ca

I'd say probably West Jet is your best bet. Also the Days Inn is fairly close to the Vancouver Consulate and is cheaper compared to the other hotels in the downtown area. I believe this is where many VJers have stayed when going to Vancouver Consulate.

I have travelled through out the world in my Army, Navy and Air force time. Rather wait in comfy surroundings (Canada) then living in some countries where the conditions are very poor Canada may be a big country area wise, but population wise we are not. Glad you got ur case transferred!

Westjet out of Hamilton is probably your cheapest route. Plus Westjet is far superior to AC.

And your moving to be with Bush? I do not think any one deserves priority over another, we are all equal, some are lucky to live in better conditions than others. Not sure I understand your comment about being in London on 7/7. Yes that was a terrible day, but others have been in much worse ( not just talking about 9/11), so they should jump to the front of the immigration line? Because of various terrorist acts things are going to be slower. Just because 1 is from a wealthy country, doesnt make them a good person. Everyone has their opinion and its great that people can express them.

Would be nice if the Immigration people woke up and sent some of the workload to Vancouver or say another city like Winnipeg or Halifax. My wife used to work in the State Dept and many offices are understaffed so I assume its the same in many posts. Cheers!!

Congratulations on transferring case from Montreal to Vancouver. That's great! I had my interview in Vancouver and it was great, staff there is excellent.
