CSC vs. VSC

As you VSC waiter already know that CSC has been processing K3 cases much*1000 faster than VSC (In some cases 7 days - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...topic=153366)...

I used to think that the service center assignment was based on where in the US you lived. But that's not the case either. I just found out about one VJ member who lives in TX/Houston but CSC processed his case in like 45 days or so.

Just WTH is wrong with this whole system? Is there any rule, consistency and process these people follow? This category (K3) was created for the people like us so that we can be with our spouses quicker and faster, that's not the case (at least with VSC).

Is there a way to get our file transferred to CSC (where they are acutally working), its been ages since I have seen a single damn approval from VSC.

Sorry guys just venting.... ( :innocent: this is what happens when you had spent only 5 days with your spouse :innocent:)

SA-&-BA,

I hear you man! I am in same situation as you are. I would definitly would like to know if there is way, but I dont think there is. I asked the rep at USCIS, but they told me they have no say on transfering file from one center to another.

Yeah, I understand your frustration! We are many at VSC who had notice that had been better if our partner had been living in another state. We had already tried to transfer our application from VSC to CSC, without success. We had planned to move our address back to our other home, but if you move its doesn’t help, your cast still at the first service center… The administrative process are not equal for our American citizenships partner, it’s depended on where you live not in the chronically line the paper income to USCIS!

I'm at CSC and still haven't heard a word although I am one month behind you all. I don't think that there is any system in place. I think that it is so weird that people who have filed at the same service center, after me, have been approved before me. Drives me crazy. It is definately not first come first serve. They should fire everyone at USCIS and hire all of the VJ's. I think we could completely fix their stupid system and spit out approvals like crazy. There should be some sort of system that is like if you have all the proof and everything is sent in as requested, it should be approved. What is so freakin hard?

TONS of us can surely relate! For K3, took us 11 months but there's MANY that have waited much longer! I know it's ridiculous...remember though, they have 6 months (180 days) from the date of the LAST NOA1...that means that if you filed an I-130, the NOA date basically doesn't mean a thing! If I would've known that when we were going thru the process, we wouldn't have filed for K3! Good luck to all of you waiting...our hearts go out to you!

I just read of a Feb filer who was tranferred to CSC from VSC. I thought they were only transferring '07 filers?

There is simply no pattern, thats the sad truth that we are left to deal with.

We did get touched today, after our congressman inquired. That could be a good sign!

Good luck to all of us waiting

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I also had to wait 1 year before my I-130 was approved at CSC, so I wouldn't say that CSC is always faster.

My feeling is that the simple cases get relatively immediate attention. Those with more complicated circumstances relating to previous immigration history, unconventional timelines, etc... take longer because they will confuse inexperienced USCIS employees and need to be reviewed by overburdened supervisors.

A touch counts as progress with the review of your case only if it wasn't initiated by your own enquiry. I recall that the only times I ever received a touches were when I telephoned USCIS or had a letter sent from my congressman. All the information regarding enquiries, congressional letters etc... are appended to your case and forwarded to the embassy.

How do you know that congressional inquiries are appended to your case?

When I first joined this site (sept of last yer) VSC was moving faster than CSC. I remember being wuite happy that we were going to be at VSC. ha!

I agree that "easier" cases get moved quicker, but I dont think that is always the case.

It seems pretty random, and from reading the ex USCIS worker's posts here in the archives, it seems they just pull cases from boxes and work them.

Our case is as simple as it could be.. no prior marriages no huge age gap. Nothing. That hasnt seemed to help.
