First of all Hope everyone has a good Thursday....

Lookin for some help..if any of you know anything about it.

Id been having some pain in my upper right side since Josh was about 3wks old. At first it would of course be VERY intense but it would come on quick and go away within 20mins. Then the attacks got longer and stronger.

2 days after i got to Lebanon in July i had a horrible one and the pain wouldnt go away until i emptied my stomach, and the food was not digested even though i had not ate for 7-8hrs

After that horrible attack in July ive had about 7 more just like it since. I was wanting to put off going to the doctor because they are so expensive.

The night before last and last night and all day today ive had pain. Now that the intensity has let up if feels like someone punched me in the stomach right under my right #######.

I have a drs appt now but not until Saturday evening-they didnt have any sooner openings.

i was just wondering if anyone had ever went thru anything like this and what happened??

Everything i find online suggests its gallstones getting worse and worse.

If i do need surgery i wont be having it done here as long as im stable to make a 17hr trip. God willing because i dont want to think about having any surgery here because of costs among other things.

Any ideas??

Hi Kristin,

Nice to hear from you. Glad to hear things are going well for you with your new class. Thats wonderful! And the salsa dancing sounds like fun...what great exercise!!

Esmat just called about his medical...despite having had gobs of immunizations done at the hospital in Irbid, he needed several more...and has to go back for two more on Sunday....all in his #######..hehe.... He said it was very crowded again at the doctor's office but he got in with no problem since he had an actual appointment this time...although it did take him like 5 hours of waiting and in and out for the different procedures, i.e., xray, blood being drawn, etc.

Now that it is lunchtime I find that today is not dragging half as bad as yesterday....thats a good thing!!

Have a nice afternoon all!

Deb :star:

hello everyone!

the bird's had a field day on my husband's car, i never saw so much bird ####### in my life

I wonder what the birds would do if there were no cars. I guess just waddle around with their butt cheeks all pinched together for the rest of enternity.

I get out the proper cleaning tools and he moves in to help - I swear, I just looked at him and told him to go away

If I had a nickel for everytime I told my husband to "git out of mah kitchen!!!" I'd be a rich woman. :) He's always trying to add a lil of this or a lil of that to what I'm making!!!! He does the same thing to my 12 yr old. Everyday her and her sister come home and she makes them a lil snack, like hot dogs or a baked potato or sometimes pasta and she said he's always telling me to put "this" in or "that" in so now she says "get out of my kitchen!" too!:lol::lol:

 That's cute. Thanksgiving Day is the only day that my father tells all of us to "git outta kitchen!" Us ladies (me and mom) and whoever else back away with hands up in the air... Good memories :)

Happy Thursday everyone. My "first day" back to work yesterday was great. I'm looking forward to the new quarter at the University, and had a great first class at the adult school -- it so full! (Wish that I get paid per student not hour.. hmm... it's enjoyable at the very least). Went salsa dancing last night with some girl friends. I was practically running around on the floor -- everyone says I danced great *huffing and panting as soon as I finished the dance* hehe

Hope all of you have a great day!

Its almost Friday everyone!!!

Esmat went back to Amman for his medical but I haven't gotten any feedback from him yet on how it went or what went on...I will update when I find out for any of you that may be interested in medicals in Amman.

The week's been slow....I need my weekend!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Deb :star:

Deb, you and Esmat must be thrilled to have interview coming up so soon!!

Have a wonderful day!

Jess, honey, this sounds like a class-A gallbladder issue. You will need to have some tests run but that's what it appears to be. From Dr. Stacie -. No, but seriously, the symptoms you're presenting sound awfully similar to gallbladder issues. You might want to check on mayoclinic.com or webmd.

Good luck and I hope you feel better!

My sister went through something like that and it ended up being pancreatitis. I hope that's not what you have!!! maybe it's your gallbladder? Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

Does sound like it could be gallstones. An ultrasound can probably tell you. I have a few, never got that intense for me though, just a strong ache from time to time in the area you describe. It's my understanding that foods with a higher fat content can bring on sudden pain because the gall bladder squeezes to send bile to help with digestion. Rapid weight loss can also lead to an attack. If it turns out to be your gall bladder, you may be able to make some dietary changes that buy you enough relief to travel for the surgery. I hope you find an answer and feel better soon, but definitely get checked out as soon as you can, even if the pain subsides.

jess, when i was having gall bladder attacks it would hurt right dead center of my stomach. until i would vomit (ewwww) they would not go away. i decribed the pain to my husband and he didnt beleive me when i told him it was gall stones. he said the pain should have been under my right rib and sometimes in the shoulder. anyway it was gall stones and the surgen said get the gall bladder removed to avoid getting pancretitis. so i did and never had another pain.

Jess,

I have had some attacks as well. And yes, as DonnaA said they can start in the center. The fact that it is on your right side does indicate Gall Bladder. Does the pain radiate into your back? That is also indicative of gall bladder. It is also possible for it to be either gastritis or ulcers. I am not sure, but could IBS hit you on the right side?

One way or the other you don't want to wait to long to get this checked out. If it is your gall bladder you will want to get to the US ASAP. If a stone gets lodged it could lead to some serious problems.

Good day to all, I haven't read this entire thread, so I hope everyone is well today.
