CASE Completed but how to get interview scheduled

I'm so excited that my case was finally completed today after false RFE's for petitioners birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Anyways, I was asking operator for an interview but she said have to call back middle of October.

Can you guys share your experience on how to get your interview scheduled with least amount of time after CASE completed at NVC?

Vermont Service Center I-130 Track: 101 Days

  • I-130 Sent : 2008-04-19
  • I-130 NOA1: 2008-04-29
  • I-130 Approved: 2008-07-29 :)

NVC CR-1 Visa Track: 54 days

  • 2008-08-01: Case received at NVC
  • 2008-08-02: DS3032 Emailed
  • 2008-08-05: Obtained IIN (after 2 tries)
  • 2008-08-07: AOS Fee Bill Paid Online
  • 2008-08-08: I-864 package mailed usps express
  • 2008-08-12: DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) received and entered into system
  • 2008-08-13: IV Fee Bill generated / IV Fee Bill paid online
  • 2008-08-14: IV Fee Bill Shows Paid
  • 2008-09-03: DS-230 (w/o PCC) package mailed usps express
  • 2008-09-05: DS-230 package entered into system and under review
  • 2008-09-15: DS230 RFE generated for PCC
  • 2008-09-18: NVC Received missing PCC.
  • 2008-09-24: CASE COMPLETE
  • 2008-10-03: Interview Date Assigned for Nov 19th
  • 2008-10-07: NVC Left - Welcome to Mumbai.

Mumbai Consulate Track

  • 2008-10-10: Embassy Received
  • 2008-11-05: Medical Appt.
  • 2008-11-19: Interview

  • 2008-11-27: A very Happy Thanksgiving.. POE Washington DC :)

Interviews are scheduled the 2nd week of each month for the following month if your Consulate has space for the upcoming month. You should call NVC back the 2nd week of October to find out when you'll have the interview.

2007-11-10.....Marriage in Ecuador

2008-01-11.....I-130 Sent

2008-04-28.....I-130 Approved

2008-05-02.....NVC Received

2008-08-20.....Case Complete at NVC

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

2011-12-29.....NOA

2012-02-02.....Walk-in biometrics (appt was for 2/16)

2012-04-17.....Interview

2012-05-18.....Naturalization Ceremony

Many Many congrulations for completion of your case.. (F).. NVC schedules interview on every 2nd week of each month.. So try calling in 2nd week of october.. Will get an early date of Nov..

Ok, so regarding the interviews...

We're waiting to be scheduled in the 2nd week of Oct.

If Moscow reports that November is full, then will NVC try to schedule in that 2nd week of Oct for December, or will NVC have to wait until 2nd week of Nov to try and schedule for December?

Thanks Bani & all. Yes its good news that case is completed but now waiting period just to schedule an interview......

I tried calling NVC again but they wont budge infact the operator was so rude she's like forget October if November is also not available you have to call in November for an interview in December.

They should just send the application to embassy and let them schedule it. Why do they have to wait for a particular week in month I dont get it.....

NVC process with shortcuts is definitely faster but could be much more efficient.

Congrats...happy to hear that you're out of NVC and ready for interview. I am pretty sure you'll get NOV interview. I have read somewhere that they ususally post new interview PDF file on mumbai emabassy every 15th...for next month dates. so keep checking mumbai embassy webiste for interview date file.
