Please Help!

I had my interview 12 Sept. The consulate told me that I was approved but she just wanted to check out one thing on my medical report but it would be ok for me to tell my wife and kids that I was coming home.

I waited over a week before I heard anything. Then yesterday I recieved an e-mail saying that they were returning my passport with no visa in it as my case was still under review.

Does this mean that it's been rejected and they will be telling me by post? Is there anyway for me to appeal against this?

Can someone please help us-we are all absolutely devastated.

I think it is just administrative review.. you can wait it out, don't worry.. I see a few people go through it and they come out fine..

Hi Guiness

Sorry to hear this, what I would do is contact the Knightsbridge Doctors if that is who did the medical and ask them to confirm that the medical was fine, if it wasnt they should have contacted you.

If it was me I would want to establish whether it is the medical holding this up or whether it is Administrative Review.

What the heck guiness, what happened? When medical was done, did you call them and get the ok approved etc., did they call you, I dont understand.........

Hey Guys-again thanks for the replies...

It appears that my medical records have been sent to the CDC in Atlanta, to the best of knowledge I don't have any diseases (or ever have had) that could affect my application.

Here's the kicker though...when I was in my teens I had a single episode of self-harm, I still have scars and I was honest about the whole thing, both during my medical and during my interview. As a result the Dr at my medical asked me to provide an independant psychiatrists report, which I did. The report made very positive reading, saying that the chances of anything happening in the future were unlikely and that I am in a sound state of mental health.

So now it's another wait.

Where I go or what I do if they find against me I just don't know. Has anyone else had to deal with the CDC and does anyone have any idea how long this may take?

Pm's early this am with your mate - processing is quick there for AR but again, if you had clean bill from pysch yes? then have L do some research on this issue - ya dont want to have that application come to the states - what do you think, maybe have an attorney involved or at least have L speak to one??

I want to help but dont know what to say........your blood test were good yes?? and that the embassy had the results from the pysch in front of them?? Confused sorta but again have L maybe check with attorney on this - she can get a free consult just to get a feel for this!

Does anyone know how long it takes the CDC to review the medical? I can't get a straight answer from the Dept. of State. And they say there is no contact # for the CDC so I can follow the progress.

I know about the class A and B. I hope and pray we are class B and can get the visa done.

Does anyone have any idea or has anyone personally been through the CDC for a review?

Hun wish i could help did u reserach their site?? I would think you should post over also in the UK thread as there are some pretty good mates there with some extensive experience, not per se in this field, but with guidance
