Today my hubby's senator got in touch with him. I got pretty desperate last week and urged him to send an email/fax to his senator and ask them for help with our case. This is after i got the reply from the ombudsman. Anyway, they told him that they can't have our case expedited as our NOA1 reflects AFTER the current processing month. I checked the processing month and it says Feb. 1, 2008. So this means that not until the USCIS posts a June 2008 processing time, we can't request for an expedite, if until then we are still unapproved (i hope not)...

We've been hoping that i will be coming home with him after the holidays but it looks like it's not going to happen...THANK YOU SO MUCH VSC...Oh, and we might celebrate our first year wedding anniv apart too! How's that????

This month i hoped for an approval in October, but with how things are going, it looks like i'll just extend my hope for another month or two. I'm always sent to a dead end whenever we ask for help, the ombudsman and the senator, they have the same advise, W-A-I-T. What sucks is we don't know until when will the people at the Vermont Submit Center move their a$$e$ and look at our papers. Such heartless people!

Oh and with the consistency/spontaneity with the CSC at least? I'd be sending the people at the VSC a Job Well Done card if they will be able to cut down this massive backlog and get back on a month behind the CSC approvals? You're all free to add flowers and chocolates to that too... c",) but jeez! we're entering the fifth month now...

Touch our papers now people! c'mon!!!

God Bless!!!

Hello!

It's almost 5 months now since we sent our I130 and I129 and until now we still haven't heard anything from VSC. Congratulations to the Feb filers who are getting approved. But seriously, do we really have to wait this long? How can CSC approve it in 3 months or less and we at VSC are still hanging there somewhere? Do they understand the anxiety (and stress) that this whole time give us? I cry almost every day because i feel like nobody's there to help us. Nobody who somehow understands even just a bit, about the pain.

Everyday i'd check my email hoping that there's a CRIS notification in my inbox. And then i proceed with visajourney to see any updates with those who filed ahead of us. And finally my account with the USCIS.I have been in this routine for a while now and as much as i want to put it to rest, i can't. I need to know what's going on and how long will i wait. I miss my husband and i want to be with him more than anything.

Last week, i emailed the ombudsman and got a reply. However, what i thought was a personal email looked like a "copy and paste" of the other email replies that the rest have gotten. My husband wrote his senator again too. he wrote one before we started the process and of course that hasn't been replied to.

Desperation. Maybe that's why we do this. But only because we want so much to be together. I pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of the VSC people who work on our papers. These are people's lives. No matter how bad the economic situation is in the US, i am willing to leave my job and be with the one person that i love the most. Because life only happens when i am with him. Without my husband by my side, i'm just mere existing.

IF THERE'S ANYONE FROM VSC WHO READS THIS. WE HOPE YOU GET TO SLEEP SOUNDLY

...because we don't...we can't...not until our tears our gone...not until we are united with our families.

Hey Paul...Do you think the USCIS knows that you've been in the US using the visa waiver? This may delay them from processing your case.

Ahh, I just updated my timeline as it is deceiving I just realized.

As I am half-dutch, I left the US on June 15th 2008 and went to work for my Mother in Holland until October 15th, when I flew back in to Exeter.

I ended up back in England as I called my local Senators office (Oklahoma) to see if there was anything they could do for us and they replied that I could be harming my case by residing in a country that isn't filed on the I-130 as the country of origin. The bonus of living in the Netherlands was that Kourtni could live with me as I have indefinite leave to remain there and a work permit and she can stay up to 6 months. So we managed 3 before being told it would be better to do it the old fashioned way. I don't think it would harm my status at all, as I have a legitimate reason for staying there, but to keep any potential bureaucrat happy I came back to England.

From your point of view, it depends I guess. We specifically filed our I-130 as fast as we could in to my VWP stay, unfortunately a family occurence delayed that a little, but I got there March 18th and we filed it towards the end of April. So I really only stayed there for 6 weeks in to the processing and as it is still in the queue I don't think it would harm you at all.

I believe the harm comes from re-entering the country after they have done the background check on you (so after NOA2 but before getting a visa), as potentially you could commit a crime while there and so I am led to believe they will be forced to re-validate you, sending you to the back of the queue again. I am not 100% on this, but for this reason I am not going to the USA for Christmas, as I scared witless that I'll end up queuing again and I can't risk it--I have a house and car already there, a job waiting for me and of course, my wife.

I'm getting super frustrated already.

The good news is that my hubby's coming home in 17 days :star: and we will be spending the holidays together

...but I STILL WANT VSC TO APPROVE ALL OUR PETITIONS ALREADY!!!! :crying:

Tomorrow, he will be calling VSC. i don't think there's any news about it, but i just want them to know at least that we didn't forget our petition (if they have) and we're waiting for it for a looooooonggggg time now. Jeez! i could be giving birth soon already if i got preggers right after our wedding. this is just taking too long.

Anyway, i asked him to inquire about the grounds to possibly expedite our petition. Coz from reading in this forum, i get the feeling that they transfer petitions every other month only. They transferred the February filers in September; didn't do anything in October; transferred the March filers in November; and as much as i'm convincing myself that things will be simultaneous after this (since election is over), i have a feeling that they'll be dormant again in December (holidays) and April filers will be moved to CSC in January after collectiong enough dust at the freaking VSC; and God forbid, they will rest again for the Valentine's celebration in February and move us May filers in March after collecting the required dusts as well.

I'm being a bit pessimist i know, but i just can't see anything to be happy about what the people at VSC are doing. Hey my husband pays tax, he deserves to get served. :crying:

God Bless!!!
