Hello!

It's almost 5 months now since we sent our I130 and I129 and until now we still haven't heard anything from VSC. Congratulations to the Feb filers who are getting approved. But seriously, do we really have to wait this long? How can CSC approve it in 3 months or less and we at VSC are still hanging there somewhere? Do they understand the anxiety (and stress) that this whole time give us? I cry almost every day because i feel like nobody's there to help us. Nobody who somehow understands even just a bit, about the pain.

Everyday i'd check my email hoping that there's a CRIS notification in my inbox. And then i proceed with visajourney to see any updates with those who filed ahead of us. And finally my account with the USCIS.I have been in this routine for a while now and as much as i want to put it to rest, i can't. I need to know what's going on and how long will i wait. I miss my husband and i want to be with him more than anything.

Last week, i emailed the ombudsman and got a reply. However, what i thought was a personal email looked like a "copy and paste" of the other email replies that the rest have gotten. My husband wrote his senator again too. he wrote one before we started the process and of course that hasn't been replied to.

Desperation. Maybe that's why we do this. But only because we want so much to be together. I pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of the VSC people who work on our papers. These are people's lives. No matter how bad the economic situation is in the US, i am willing to leave my job and be with the one person that i love the most. Because life only happens when i am with him. Without my husband by my side, i'm just mere existing.

IF THERE'S ANYONE FROM VSC WHO READS THIS. WE HOPE YOU GET TO SLEEP SOUNDLY

...because we don't...we can't...not until our tears our gone...not until we are united with our families.

I filed for a Cr1 visa (just I-130) but I know exactly how you feel. I filed April 7th and i didn't even get a touch yet. I check my emails daily also but nothing ever changes. I hope that someday when we don't expect it we'll get approved. Best wishes to you! You're not alone!

At this point, i just really wish that VSC will just forward all the applications to CSC. They don't have the capacity to handle it anyway. They're just giving the people the burden of waiting. After all, they've forwarded the other applications already after 6 months of putting it in their cabinets. I mean, what's the point of that? It is not a service center at all. I't just a Vermont Submit Center. You submit it to them, they submit it to CSC. Too bad for us who've been forwarded there because we have to wait for half a year or more of waiting for an approval that will not come from that center, but from CSC. I would throw a party if they approve us this October. That means all the efforts of shaking them up worked. 6 months. That's how long this whole process should only take. But we've been waiting for almost 6 months now just for that approval. God help us. But sometimes i just want to picket outside the embassy in my country.

God Bless!!!

I am also a May filer. This process is so frustrating especially when those who filed at CSC are getting interviews already. This is insane and very disappointed because we have no clue on when we might get approved. I have nothing against those who have gotten approved but why not make it consistent. I have also served in the military, and is this how you treat veterans? Very disappointed at the whole system!

I will not expect anything for another 6-9 months, If it happens before that, I would be very happy. But I do aware of the fact that, this will take like forever. I guess it is our mistake that we chose to live in the state that our application would have to be sent to VSC.

Just got off the phone with my local senators office in OKC. His representative told me not to expect to set foot on US soil before June 09, even though we filed April 25th 2008 and got our NOA1 on May 5th 2008. I'm a retired British veteran of Iraq, so I was ever so slightly hoping that would be looked on in favor, as I served both our nations...but until they actually touch the file, I guess that won't help either.

We can just hang tough, together, here.

No, the guy told me that they were currently processing people who submitted in November 2007, so as I submitted in late April this year it would be awhile before I could expect to see my wife again.

I personally think he was being overly cautious in today's litigious society, going off the figure on the official website (which I believe is updated to show there last straggler). If I go off the average time between NOA1 and NOA2 over the last 360 days as reported here, it is 135 days and we have been waiting 141 days....so I'm quietly optimistic.

edit: saying that, my own timeline here on VJ tells me March 09 before the I-130 is processed...link.

Any hope for getting clarity on where your case stands at VSC doesn't exist. The reps don't actually have any real information about any of the cases and all they can do is point to the processing dates.
