Does anyone know if i can go ahead and book my medical?

My interview and medical will be in London UK. The Consulate recieved our application about 3 days ago and so hvnt gotten package 3 yet but i was wondering if i can go ahead and book my medical before i recieve this package 3? I have my case number and i already called the doctors but they told me that they needed to go throught things in the package with me so i had to wait. Is this just a lie to deter people from going to medical without waiting for pckg 3?

I just dont want to waste an expensive trip to london so need to know for sure...i just want it out of the way so if i dont have to wait then thatd be great

07/15/08[/font] Sent off I 129F

07/17/08 Arrived and picked up by CSC

07/25/08 NOA-1 FINALLY!!!!

07/31/08 CHECK WAS CASHED!

07/28/08 touched!!

12/08/08 NOA2 FINALLY!

12/13/08 NOA2 received in the mail

12/18/08 Called NVC at (603)334-0700 and talked to a nice lady named Rose. Our case was received on the13th and was sent out to sydney...WE WILL SEE!

12/13/08 NVC received letter and said they sent out to Sydney

12/18/08 received letter in the mail from NVC.

12/19/08 another letter from NVC stating it was shipped out

12/24/08 ARRIVED IN SYDNEY at 10:26 am and signed by tom

12/29/08 CONFIRMED it is at Sydney and Good ol Tom did sign for it LOL THANKS TOM!!

12/29/08 Sydney waiting for paper file from nvc and has it requested

12/31/08 Sydney confirmed through email that the paper file was received

01/05/09 His police checks are done and sent off!!

01/28/09 Kai went to his medicals forgot one of his passport pics and needs two more shots all was good!

2/18/09 medicals ready to be picked

2/20/09 packet 3 sent in

2/26/09 pkt 3 received today takes UP to 10 days

04/07/09 interview....APPROVED!!!!

04/20/09 He flew in ..flight was changed he was 3 hours late BUT HE IS HOME

port of entry took 2 mins!! LOL

04/25/09 WE ARE MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!

good luck on the upcoming medical review and the interview!

and by the way, why does charles! continue posting this mysterious 'mbc' in EVERY SINGLE thread? It's terribly annoying.

Time Line

2007-11-10.....Marriage in Ecuador

2008-01-11.....I-130 Sent

2008-04-28.....I-130 Approved

2008-05-02.....NVC Received

2008-08-20.....Case Complete at NVC

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

2011-12-29.....NOA

2012-02-02.....Walk-in biometrics (appt was for 2/16)

2012-04-17.....Interview

2012-05-18.....Naturalization Ceremony

There is a medical questionnaire that you have to wait for... but I think that can be found and printed on the forum, so you can go ahead and book your medical... so long as you already have your case number.

I think it might be somewhere in the UK forum... or if you have an email then I can send you one. Someone on VJ sent me a scan of their's that I have.

Bare in mind that you do not have to have the medical done in order to recieve packet 4... this is what I thought, and so I booked it ASAP and then headed back to the UK from the US. I should have waited until I got packet 4 and then booked it and traveled. They actually send you all the medical details again in packet 4!
