Good Morning MENA!!!

It's Sunday!! I hope everyone enjoys their day!!

(wow, i think the last time i started a daily thread was the day my hubby arrived in the NY...)

I miss you guys like crazy. It has been forever!! I've been crazy busy!!! Alhamdulillah, I graduated at the end of August and now I'm a first grade teacher. :) it's as exciting as it is tiring  my husband and i are finally gonna have our "real, real" wedding in november, insha Allah. we got married in egypt, my family wasn't there for it--so, i get to wear the wedding dress and all now!! yay...kinda excited, i must say! haha. anyhow, i hope everyone's journey is going well. any new visas lately?? i hope so!! inshaa Allah. alrighty darlings, have a very nice day!! and an amazingly smooth and fast visa journey!! muahhh....

Welcome back sweety!!! (((hugs)))) Congrats on being a teacher!!! I always wanted to be a kindergarden teacher but my parents were wicked strict as to what I could major in in college since they were paying for it. I wish I had just done it on my own though because although it must be hard work it looks like it's very rewarding. :)

im well rested and thrilled to be off work today...

Sora, congrats on becoming a 1st grade teacher...i bet its exciting and keeps ya on your toes...

I have alot to do today, cleaning and such...

p.s. If anyone has never seen Cloverfield DONT!! it was by far the worst movie ive ever watched, thank god i rented it from redbox and only paid a dollar...on the other hand,"What happens in Vegas" is friggin hysterical...

Everytime I see that movie on netflix I want to order it but the reviews are so nasty I just haven't. I guess you've just clinched it for me so I won't order it now. It looked sooo good though in the previews. Kind of like Independence Day was.

Happy Sunday MENA

I've been so friggin busy lately  I'm not looking forward to next week with no end in sight. Slightly depressed, hubby is irritated with me, and I must be getting pre-maturely old bc I keep forgetting things (well, at least according to my professor  )

I wish I had good news to report, but no such luck.... I'm leaving the boards before really start b!tching about everything wrong in the world :blush:

((((hugs)))) How's your health? I've been taking my thyroid replacement hormone but don't see a change yet. I hope you cheer up soon! Eid's coming!!!:dance::dance:

aaww PB - hang in there, surely it will get better at some point :)

Happy Sunday all

Congrats Sora!

Sara is that outfit that the pineapple princess is wearing from gymboree? I used to LOVE shopping there for my girls!!!!

Hubster is working nights now so iftar is getting tricky. He hates it when I heat up food in the microwave but knows that I can't just up and cook a new meal when he gets home at midnight so I feel really bad for him. :( Today is his first day off in a while and I'm so excited!:dance::dance: At the same time though I'm *exhausted*!!! I decided to stay up with him a few nights a week so I didn't get to sleep until 3am last night. I can't wait to have coffee tonight!!!! I need it!!!!

How do all of you who's hubbies work at night deal with it? IT's a whole new set of issues including sleep, eating, quality time together, etc. I miss him!!! :crying:

When you figure it out, please let me know. My husband comes in any time between 3:00 and 4:30, so what has worked best for me the last couple of weeks is to go to sleep very early and then get up for the day when he comes in. This way, we get some time to talk, and I stay with him until he falls asleep after suhoor, but by then I can't go back to sleep. I'm very productive at work...until about noon. But this weekend I just can't seem to stay awake at all. Ten days left. We'll need to rework the schedule after Ramadan, but I don't see an end to the night shift. Very grateful that he has this job though, very grateful. Our best bet may be for me to collect some more crock pot recipes, and he can supplement on his own if he wants to. He's a much better cook than I am.

I'm the USC.

Happy Sunday all...

Laundry for me today too. I have spent the entire day yesterday gathering papers and printing instant message logs in preperation for Usama's interview.

We are hoping to return our Packet 3 in the next two weeks and I want to send everything to him at once. The only doctor in Alex that can do the medical is working a very very short week for Ramadan, so we are not sure how long it will take to get that part done.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and while driving yesterday, noticed some of the trees have leaves changing color  Here comes fall!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Linda

Good Afternoon ....so far, it IS a nice day out today.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

OK Kel....you totally made me laugh! We got Cloverfield on netflix a couple weeks ago. When the movie started I kept saying I was gonna puke because all of the motion from the camera moving around. Somehow I suffered through the whole movie and when it was over, we all just sit there and was like "what the he$$ was that?"

Had both my kids birthday party last night. We had a huge skating party for them, but I think the adults had more fun than the kids!

I'd never stay awake if I did that since I can't really go to bed until I do homework with the kids, pack their lunches, etc. Thankfully the latest he's come home so far is around 12:30am. The money is a lot better than the day job was though!
