Hi everyone most specially who has the same experience that I have! I badly need your ideas and positive replies regarding this.

I had my interview last September 9, 2008 and the Consular Officer told me that I was approved. The same day I paid for the delivery of my passport and document verification. I was advised that 3-4 weeks is the waiting time for the NSO to finished the verification of my documents. My problem right now is that I made follow up to NSO if they have already my documents but a guy named "JP" said that DELBROS has not forwarded to him my documents which I already checked and called DELBROS about this which they confirmed me that it was forwarded to NSO 10th of September.

MY question is, right after 4 weeks was the passport with visa were already delivered to you? I am under K1 fiancee visa application. I badly need to have the visa because I still have to enroll my son. Me and my fiance our plan is to get married on his birthday October 05, 2008.

Please I really appreciate all your kind and understanding replies. And I had my latest Cenomar taken 21st of August 2008, it was not long and I am very sure NSO have it in there computer system just easy to check and print :( Why they have to take this too long and made us suffer like this? :(

God bless to all!

I didn't have to go through the document verification after I had my interview. It seems that they are really giving you a hard time -- The NSO and the Delbros. Usually it takes three days only after your interview and your visa will be delivered by Delbros. Mine took 9 days because I had to repeat the finger scanning thing. That was the reason of the delay in my case. It's not fair that they have to make you wait 3 to 4 weeks. It's a waste of time and a waste of money when you just want to be with the one you love and they are making this harder for you. Don't you just hate it? I think it's only in the Philippines that you have to pay so that your documents will be verified by the NSO. My husband said it's a waste of time. -- Marie

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

that is very true Marie :( Only in Philippines... I just wonder why they are giving hard time on us... It has been a suffering waiting for the petition with indifinite time when we can received the approved notice... And to think actually I had requested from NSO Cenomar which they have issued me dated 21st of August. DO they do not have computer system that in just clicking and typing the name they can easily track if the person is married or not? :((( It is really frustrating :( I am really hurt and it seems like they do not care about our feelings we felt, the depression. I just hope they know how to consider sometimes NOT giving hard time to us just to be with the person we love :((((

Todnasmeen, you know we have almost same situation . I aslo pay my document verification and visa delivery fee right after my interview meaning i didnt pay prior to my interview. The consul told me that i should not worry. I just need to pay my document verification fee. My interview was last Aug.28 then the DELBROS forward it to the NSO the following day and the NSO received it. Until now i am waiting for the result of my document verification and they told me just call them back this coming week.

Hope there will be a good news because my fiance will be here this October and our plan is if ever God willing i have my visa, i will go back with him... huhuhuhu.. I am still waiting for this doc. verification..

My question is how long will i wait for the consul to release a visa after they had the result from the NSO????

Reply is much appreciated...

the process is that as much as possible, you needed to pay the document verification fee few weeks prior to your interview. Since you just paid it after interview, it can take up to 4 weeks for the documents to be sent to the USEM from NSO and another two weeks for the CO that interview you to look at the documents. Once the CO approved it.. it takes 2 days to process your visa and up to 5 days to deliver it. That is the best case scenerio. It is well documented that if you paid late of your document verification, your K-1 visa will be delayed. Many people has gone through what you are going through that's why the USEM packet 4 instruction clearly stated to pay the doc fee ahead of time. Good luck
