Oana how was your infopass appointment? any news?

How are you panterchen and evian?

For me it's only a few days until the Christmas vacation starts and I'll see my baby, I'm so excited

Nothing's new here... I just cannot understand why they take so long time for the adjudication. And it seems two monthes after RFE still means nothing. I don't know how long it gonna take for my case. You'll meet your baby soon, that's good, wish you have a nice vacation, and also good news of Nov2.

NOA1 Jun.17,2008

RFE Oct.24,2008

USCIS received our RFE Nov.4(Got touched Jan.6th, Jan.7th,Feb.5th)

NOA2 Mar.6, 2009

NVC sent to Chinese Embassy: Mar.16, 2009

Good morning, guys!

My baby's appointment, was short (obviously). The guy told him the usual stuff :"yeah, your case was assigned last week to an officer...6 months is just a general guide line, could be more for California...we have many files, we are understaffed...your case seems fine, no worries, you could get an answer in the next days...BUT Holidays are close, so it is very possible that you will hear from us next year"

He was disappointed, but at least he found out that the file is not stuck in some loop! Well, we are trying to look at the bright side.

Anyway, Christmas is around the corner, so we decided to enjoy this time as it is: me with my beloved family and dogs here in Romania, and him with his family and friends over there, thinking about each other.

Like he said: the hard part (long waiting) is behind us anyway!:dance::dance:

He guys,

no news here. We are still desperately waiting and growing more and more impatient.

Oana, it's good though that you know it got assigned to an officer, right!? We were relieved too when we found out we are not stuck or anything.

Did the guy at the infopass also tell you how long it could appr. take for your case to be worked on?

We basically got the same information on our case with the difference that we got assigned to an adjudicator Nov 13. So I just wonder how long we might still have to wait...The lady told us 2-4 weeks on Dec 1 and also said that we should consider the holidays and such. I don't want to wait anymore....WTH August is getting approved at VSC and 3 (active) June filers and a few May filers are still waiting. This cannot be true...

I hope you are all doing well. My S/O will be here in 2 weeks and I am sooo excited. I will show him the baltic sea where he never was before. We will have some great christmas stollen and loads of chocolate. He will see a real (!) German christmas tree and hopefully we can prepare pack 3 when he is here in January so we can get married in March!!!

Hey CHUNSAN, how did your medical go? i heard no appointment required. it's first come first serve. is that right?

Yeah, no appointment. Just bring your confirmation letter from USEM or NVC letter with your Manila Case #, Passport, 2x2 pictures and payment. I went there around 11am and I'm done at 2pm. Then next day i went there for my result since i passed yehey..Thank God. I had my immunization for 3 shots. I went there 9am and finished around 1pm.

- By the way, for the rest of June filer still waiting for NOA2 ---- im still here with you, i do pray for you guys. Hope that before Christmas you get your approval. Good luck guys and God Bless us all here! Just entrust everything to God's hand.

I called USEM to schedule the interview. It's on January 26, 2009 at 7 a.m.

My fiancee is still waiting for the letter from USEM, but when I called to schedule the interview, his case was was ready to schedule for an interview as of dec 9, 2008. I hope the letter is not lost in the mail. Maybe I can send him a copy of the letter from NVC that i received.

good luck on your interview =)

Did you/your fiance received confirmation email from USEM about schedule of interview? My fiance called USEM then 30mins after i received email about my interview schedule. I printed it out and showed to St. Lukes that i already have schedule. Also, you can scan your NVC letter and email to your fiance. She can show both of that letter for her medical exam coz they need Manila Case #.

Goodluck!

After I called, they sent two confirmation letters to his e-mail. Per USEM, one for the medical and one for the interview.

I know he can download the filing instructions (previous referred to as packet 3) from USEM site, but I'm curious when is he getting it in the mail. Did you receive the instruction letter from USEM?

hey everyone...

ok, so i finally received the I-134 affidavit of support from my fiancee but here comes the problem: up there on the form it is written: ANSWER ALL ITEMS. TYPE OR PRINT IN BLACK INK... but she wrote the form with handwriting with a black ink pen...and then she legalized it...

now, what did you other guys did? did your fiancee or fiance wrote this form on the computer and print it out or handwriting? the thing is that it's legalized but still...

do you think i should tell my fiancee to send me another I-134 form? printed and legalized ?

blessings, nate....

Natan, I have mine at home and I haven't even looked at it. I think I should do that.

I would say if the handwritten stuff is clearly visible and readable it should be ok-just my unqualified opinion.

Does anyone here know how long the affidavit is valid? My fiancé brought it over end of Oct but what if I have my interview in February or even later??

well, the hand writing is visible and my babe says that in english the word "print" is used also for handwriting, but anyway i called the us embassy in bucharest and they told me that i should call tomorrow since they only answer fiancee questions by 12pm...

so i will call them tomorrow, since i have like 5 questions to ask them... i will also ask them about how long is an affidavit of support valid...

if anyone else has other question that they would like me to ask for them at the embassy, write me till tomorrow at 10am (Romania time of course) :P

Aside from email, as of now i did not received any mail/hard copy instruction letter from USEM. Just follow the link they gave where you can download the forms needed for the interview. DS 156, DS 156K, DS 157. Since no DV please prepare the following documents : Birth Certificate, CENOMAR - Cert of No Marriage, NBI. Also, dont forget to pay the visa before interview at BDO bank.

Good luck and God Bless us all!

Ok, so here are the answers to my fiance visa related questions for the embassy:

1. they will send us the forms that we need to fill so we will not have to fill and print the forms to a laser printer as i was asked to do for my tourist visa.

2. i can give them my cellphone number and they will call me when they get the package at the consulate in order for me to come and pick it up myself since i dont trust the romanian post office (i had some unpleasant experiences regarding the romanian post office)

3. the medical check is available for 1 year

4. i can set the interview date for my k1 visa 7-10 days after they receive the completed forms they asked for from my package.

5. I-134 (Affidavit of support) can be also handwritten but only with a black ink (and notarized of course)

hope it helps some of you ;)

blessings,

nate

SWEET!

Awesome news for ya, Natan! Too bad I have to travel a lot to the Embassy, to pick up the envelope myself, so I'll have to trust the Post Office.

let us know when you schedule your medical and interview, so we think and pray for ya in that time! (F)
