oh wow you haven't gotten your noa2 yet! im sorry and hope u get it soon, because i just noticed on the forum that one of the members from csc who had the same noa1 as you was approved last month and they already got their visa, and their fiance is coming next week.

wow huh?

Hey you, what are you trying to do? Getting us more depressed than we're already? don't you think we know this already? We are among the less lucky June filers, it happens but let's try to stay calm and positive. We need encouragements right now!!!! If you check Igor's list you'll see that there are out there even May filers still waiting for their NOA2- that's life: ups and downs...

We live with the hope that tomorrow will be our lucky day

Kiwie, it was not me calling , it was mara-rafe. We won't call before the deadline for the RFE expires: 15th of December. And even then, they are covered by the 30 extra days....

I don't know in fact if the customer service can really contact the persons handling our files, or they just check on our status- what we can easily do by ourselves. I mean I have no idea what are their obligations when receiving our phone calls.

We just called. Or better my SO called and he requested some additional information. I don't actually now what that means but they said it can take up to 45 days. Crazy :bonk:

I just wanna be sure that there isn't any RFE that we are not aware of or anything like that!

But I guess that phone call didn't get us anywhere :crying:

So they didn't give you any additional information: if something is wrong or anything, just: "keep on waiting"? :bonk:

I'm sorry Kiwie!

We also decided to give a call but we'll wait to see if there is any update until Friday. we don't put to much hope in this phone call but it's the only thing left to do....

Morning, people!

So, you are telling me that even if we call them, they will just click our file number on a computer, and tell us exactly what we can read on their site ? Wow, I'm impressed. So basically, until you reach the 6 months limit, they will NOT bother checking the situation. Cool.

Guys, I checked my e-mails, I read the news site, I am writing to ya, and I didn't check the USCIS site yet. :wow: Congratulations to me.

Tomorrow and Firday they are closed, right? Will they work on Sat or there is no point ?

Well.... you can call them and you basically need to get through to a 2nd level of support person. Until then they read the same that we have been reading every day, yes :bonk:

But I think we will try again today... cause why in the world would we want some more information when it can take up to 45 days??????? I really hope that we'll have our NOA2 by then :clock:

They will definitely be closed tomorrow but I still don't know if they'll be working on Friday or Saturday... would be worth asking when we call ;)

I'll let you know as soon as we find out!

I think that means that they placed a service request which usually gives them 45 days to reply. But I thought they are only allowed to do this after you have passed the 6 months processing time frame.

I don't know. It was weird because they asked him right away if they should put in a request for more information... I just wanna make sure that there is nothing we missed, any RFE or anything!

How are you doing these days???? I'm having a hard time keeping busy...not much to do

But I'll be driving down to Karlsruhe tomorrow to visit some friends. Maybe that will get my thoughts off of things...

Ok, Kiwie, so if I remember correctly, you said you also have a SSN.

My fiance called his closest office (Denver) and a really nice lady was telling him that if the foreign fiancee also has a SSN it does take longer, since they will have to run all the checking again (FBI, NSA, national security, state, etc.) Why, in God's name, they don't run both SSN's in the same time, if they see that both (petitioner & foreign fiance) have SSN ??????

Anyway, we are on the right track, guys!

Oana please tell where did your fiance find the information about the closest office? I looked on USCIS https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO but there is no phone number, you only can take an appointment. Maybe people at these local offices are nicer and willing to offer more information.

So we called again.... and we got through to the 2nd level!

Apparently there is no RFE or anything like that but they are still processing. So I guess Oana31 you are right... I wish I would have never SSN

But oh well... nothing I can do about it now

We are on the right track though and eventually it'll even happen for us!
