I sent copies of phone bills, letters, passport, mail I received addressed to me in Egypt, a letter of our history, pictures of us together with his family, copies of letters and cards he sent to my kids, and anything else I could think of. I organized them with dividers explaining what each set of copies was. Then when he sent his packet, we supplimented it with anything I had forgotten and everything we accrued in the interim.

Here's what I sent

- 5 pictures of Hicham and I in Morocco, dated on the back with everyone's name and where they were taken

- photocopy of passport picture and stamps

- copies of boarding passes along with email itineraries for flights

- email receipts for phone cards (I don't think this is necesary)

Initially you just want to prove that you have met int he past year. Later you will need to prove an ongoing relationship.

Hi Charity, welcome to visa journey. I read in your profile that you had a big engagement fiesta. I dont really know what kind of celebration it was, but I want to suggest to you not to send any photos that look like wedding photos. One couple on vj (cant remember the country) had engagement ceremony photos and got into great difficulty with the embassy and was denied the fiance visa because the consular thought they got married.

Good luck with your visa journey.

In our K-1 application, I sent LOTS of proof that we had met and proof we had a relationship. I think it is better to be safe than sorry. The more proof of relationship that you can show Casa the better. Just make sure everything is indexed to make it easier to find.

Examples we sent in:

boarding passes

photocopies of passport stamps

money exchange receipts

hotel receipt

copy of itinerary I gave my family that I wrote for them before I left

pictures of the two of us together (I think I sent 4 with descriptions of where and when)

A description of how we met

a copy of a phone bill showing calls to him

an email from each of us for every month up to when we sent in petition

copies of mailing packages (showing he mailed items to me)

copies of a few letters he had sent to me

To the interview he brought along proof that we were engaged...

receipt for my wedding dress

engagement notice

some more emails / pictures

whole copy of chat transcripts from every day we were together

Best of luck! Take what you can from everyone and piece together and make your own package!

At this point, when sending in your petition, they are only looking for proof that you have met within the two years required. We sent in just 5 pictures with the dates and such, copies of my passport with stamps, copies of my boarding passes. You send the proof of your ongoing relationship when your fiance goes for his interview in Casablanca. The more you send the more they have to look through, when they don't need it for this level. Good luck on your journey.
