Hi! nothing like that, I sent the fax friday afternoon and I got a phone call today on my cell, to which I didn't answer but they had left a message on the answering machine saying they had scheduled the interview and also they had sent me an email confirming that. I am supposed to print that email and take it with me to the interview. It all happened real quick after we got the approval. I admit I have sent a couple of emails to them asking them to send the packet 3 by email cause I wanted to speed everything up and they replied the next day about it. I really can't complain so far.

good luck!

Veronica

I just got an e-mail yesterday saying that my interview was scheduled for September they called me yesterday morning at work but was not around to take the call. I have read so many bad reviews about the consulate in Naples yes it is hard to talk to someone on the phone but everytime I e-mailed the consulate the same lady replied within 2 days. I have just started my paperwork in Jun06 and I thought I would be waiting forever. if anyones got any advise for the interview please let me know. Thanks

I had to do a little bit of begging for my fiance's interview date (we followed all the directions in packet 3, but didn't hear anything back until I called the direct line and finagled my way into a conversation with a woman who works in the visa office and she told me to have my fiance' fax over ALL the completed packet 3 docs, not just the ones they ask for via fax). Then, after he did this, I e-mailed the consulate with all his information and I got a reply to my e-mail with his medical/interview dates for the 10th and 11th of July, 2006. That was the only sort of "packet 4" we ever received, though the consulate DID call my fiance' twice before July 10th to remind him of his appointment. He printed out the e-mail with the appointment dates, but the consulate already has his name down on the list of people to enter that day, so it wasn't necessary. everything worked out and he's sitting on my bed right now flipping through TV channels lol

Hi! Good luck with your interview! I don't know how the IR-1 interview is, but my fiance's K1 interview was VERY easy; no hard questions, no interrogation, and everyone was very nice to him too :) You will do fine, just make sure you bring everything they ask for in packet 3.
