How do you obtain PCC

From what I understood from the directions for the DS-230, you just need to get the police records for all places lived since the age of 18... But I have been reading on here that it is an actual certificate thing???... what is exactly do I need to get? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Did you read what I quoted??? Police Records are UNAVAILABLE for Mexico, I suspect the consulate will handle getting that info when they do name checking.

NO, there are NO reports from the USA either, this is handled by USCIS/ NVC/ and Consulate when they do name checks through the FBI.

Note: Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.

You can now ask questions about things other than the police certs now that they have been nailed down using quotes from Department of State.
