Mistake on G-325A...now in NVC

When we originally filled out the G-325A form we mistakenly did not list one of the places of employment of my spouse. We left out the 3 month time she worked in the USA when she was here on her work and travel program.

So now I'm wondering how we can fix this. Should we put it on the DS-230 and attach some kind of explanation letter saying that we missed it on the G-325A. What could potentially happen to our petition?

I'm afraid that if we don't put it on DS-230 the NVC could run some kind of check and find the mistake on their own. I figure it might be better to be honest...but if that costs us the petition? I really don't want to get the "you have to refile" answer or to get the "sorry, your visa was denied" at the interview...

Please help...

You list it on the DS-230. And you have to give them updated G-325A at the interview. They will typically ask for the updated G-325A anyways... just explain it at the interview...

I would think it's a good idea to list it on 230 and attach explanation letter saying that you did not feel this temporary job had to be on 325.

Most likely they will know, or can find out, and I would not recommend to risk anything. And if you attach the letter, this will make 230 honest and correct, but also will explain discrepancy with 325 in case if they will compare them.

This is my personal opinion.

Another option you can call NVC, talk to the operator, tell them you have an issue with the paperwork, ask for a supervisor and talk to them, see what they say. They can not give you any advice how to fill your paperwork, but might disclose their expectations.

Thank you.

I just spoke to the NVC operator and they told me that as long as the DS-230 contains the place of employment it's no problem and the worst that could happen is that she would have to explain at the interview that she forgot to include it in the list.

If she might have to explain in on the interview, just to make it easy and safe, she should write a short note/letter explaining this, and if asked she can give it to the consular officer for their file. They will like that, and it's safer, they will not make her write explanation or send away to bring one.

Just a thought, to be on a safe side I would do that.

i would just list everything correctly on ds230 and pretend like u never noticed that u forgot this info on g325. dont volunteer any information as it will cause more confusion. keep a well crafted answer in ur back pocket and take it out only if needed.
