Just got the approval that my stepchildren's I-130's have been approved. :)

So excited-- we're getting closer!

  1. Married 2/29/2008
  2. NOA1/Case at CSC 6/4/2008
  3. Last updated online/USCIS 6/5/2008
  4. Touch/NOA2 7/25/2008 Husband approved- kids pending
  5. Touch 7/27/2008
  6. Touch 7/28/2008
  7. NOA2 hard copy received 8/1/2008
  8. RFE for kids received in mail 8/2/2008
  9. Touch 9/2/2008
  10. NOA2 received for kids 9/5/2008
  11. Paid AOS 9/25/08 Online
  12. Over-nighted I-864 packet 10/1/08 to NVC
  13. I-864 received 10/2/08
  14. Paid IV 10/7/08 Online

aug. 26, 2008----transferred to csc

sept. 19, 2008--- approved

NVC:

sept. 26, 2008----got case # from a live operator

oct. 6, 2008 ------received AOS bill/paid online

oct. 7, 2008 ------shows PAID

oct. 14,2008 -----IV fee generated/ paid online

oct. 15,2008 -----shows PAID

oct. 16,2008 -----mailed DS230 overnight

oct. 23,2008 ---- RFE

nov. 3,2008 ----- case complete

nov. 26,2008 --- medical exam

aug. 14,2009 --- remedical finally, passed

aug. 24, 2009 -- interview , passed

aug. 29, 2009 -- visa in hand

sept. 24, 2009 -- POE LAX

Congrats :star: :star: to you! Will your stepchild apply IR2/CR2 via NVC? I am waiting for my daughter's I-130 approval and will follow similar path for her with NVC later.

Are the NVC steps different between IR1/CR1 and IR2/CR2?

I don't think the path is any different. It should be the same. I'm just happy now that the kids' paperwork can catch back up to their dad's. He was approved first and I got RFE's for the kids. The RFE was for birth certificates, marriage cert, divorce decree and custodial papers. I only sent what they asked for the first time and the paperwork required for the RFE wasn't on their list. I wish I would have known when I sent in paperwork the first time- could have saved ourselves some time.

02-11-2008- Received Hardcopy NOA1

08-14-2008- Approved!!! 216 days...

08-21-2008- NOA2 Hardcopy received

08-27-2008- NVC Receives file, NVC Case Number issued

09-05-2008- AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 Generated

09-06-2008- E-mailed DS-3032 to NVC

09-11-2008- Received Hardcopy of DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bill

09-15-2008- Mailed Hardcopy of DS-3032

09-16-2008- Paid $70 AOS fee online

09-17-2008- Received E-mail confirming the DS-3032 Agent

Amy and Adrian, glad your husband and kids' cases are now ready for NVC. Just wonder if an adult and his/her children have separate I-130 petitions, will NVC link these cases together or we have to request so? This is particularly important for young kids since they need to go through medical and interview with an adult.
