Dear VJers:

My K1 petition at VSC was approved today  . Got an automated email from CRIS. Really excited  . My NOA1 date was Sep 12, 2008. Good news for all Aug/Sep filers. You all should see your approvals soon, too I hope.

Could not have gone through process without this community. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to all for your support and encouragement. Excited. Don't even know what the next steps are. The good news is still sinking in as I write this. Have updated my timeline.

Cheers,

Woooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is great news!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats - go out and celebrate!!! My NOA 1 date is Sept. 4th, so hoping I get the word soon!!! I´m sure many others are too.

My thoughts on the lack of movement at VSC are that this could perhaps have something to do with VJ posters not updating their timelines - perhaps people who joined the site and lost interest. There are many of us here who are faithful users, but there are probably many others who join, fill out their initial timeline and never update. It´s hard to imagine that processing was moving along at VSC and then just stopped, but who knows - anything´s possible with USCIS :wacko: Curious to know what others think.

Best to all and speedy NOA2s to all  2009´s gonna be a great year!!!!

There is a publication on the website that states that they process an average of 30,000 applications every day. Isn't that amazing?

Thanks everyone. Appreciate it. Good luck to all that are waiting. Karri - will send my good luck your way. With the way things are moving at CSC, it looks though that you could have your approval in short order as well.

Anyone know what the next steps are for me ? How do I know when NVC received my app. Is there a number to call to check. Also, how do I know when the Consulate will receive my K1 app packet/NOA2. Do I need to contact them or they will get in touch with my fiancee (beneficiary)?

Thanks

Thats BS... well maybe not. Process doesn't mean that they actually adjudicate. All of our files are being processed now right?

Thats awesome news

You must be thrilled, I know I would be!!

I'm not sure how many people have dropped off the board and not updated their timeline but I am one of the many that rarely posts since joining, simply because the waiting seems to take forever so I don't make the agony worse by checking everyday. I certainly have had no 'touches' or anything since the NOA1.

I do have one question or observation, forgive me if I am wrong, but it does seem like the UK applications don't get processed as fast as some others especially since there are so many, you'd expect the odd one to slip through sooner or later surely *fingers crossed*!!

Well, heres to the rest of us hearing soon

Hi, by looking at the July approvals, I don't see much of a difference on the time frame. A few days difference between the approvals. I think it also has to do between the NOA1 notice date and the NOA2 approval date. For instance I sent my I-129F next day delivery and I got my NOA1 notice day two days after I sent it. Some people send it regular mail, so it takes a few extra days for them. In my opinion to see the average we have to start counting from the NOA1 notice date. It seems to be around 120 days.

Yeah I was looking at the average too :) Thanks for the advice though! How is everyone else holding up? Any news or ideas?? Stories :) ??

hey man,

i filed mine and it was received 9.15.08...still waiting on the NOA2.

happy new yr!

keep me posted if you guys hear back

I'm sorry, perhaps I should have stated my source or explained in more detail. I meant they process an average of 30,000 cases throughout the world, not just at one facility =P See below page 2. Also, lol @ 41,000 phone calls a day. I wonder how many of those are from VJ members ;)
