Today is rude day. I am encountering so many people in real life and online that are just flat out rude! Whats wrong with people? People need to take a chill pill.

You work in a public library? I work at an academic library and am thinking about trying to get a job with the Queens Public Library system since I am sick of commuting every day, but when I hear some of the stories about working at a PL I am a little wary.... :huh:

It's really not that bad...heehee...I mean, yeah we have our share of characters, but I love working with the public - most of the time :D

So do you have your MLS? I've considered academic, but many times it seems you need a double master's degree for that. I'm lucky I made it through graduate school with one degree. I worked a full time and part time job while going to school :blink:

I love to read but never go to the library. I would like to, but I never know what to look for....uggggggg

You browse!!!! Most libraries put up displays just like bookstores or music stores (wow, do "record stores" even exist anymore?) Then you'll get an idea :dance:

2009-08-05 Case transferred to CSC

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-25 - received Biometrics appointment letter!

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

sigh---having a family issue that is weighing heavy on me. My sister is still suicidal, she was released last Sunday and I picked her up and took her to my house.

I am not strong enough to handle her serious depression. She said she is still going to do it. She said she wouldn't do it in my house. Her son is picking her up on Saturday, I just pray she don't do it in my house while I am at work tonight. Everyone is mad at me for not taking her in permanent. I havent talked to her much in the last 8 years, I have a stranger in my house. A pill addicted stranger.

I am afraid to go home at night. The other night, I drove around my block 7 times, afraid to go in and find her. Now, because I am not taking her places and 'fixing' her, I'm the bad guy. Well ya know what, I can't please everyone all the time. I am only me. I am not qualified to convince her to want to live.

Dang, I didn't mean to ramble all like that. Thx star and terrie for asking. :)

Jackie, youcan't fix her. She has got to want the help. And it sounds like she don't. She belongs in a hospital yet. They should have never released her. Is this the sister from up here? If it is, the doctors up here are #######! My thoughts are with you both!
