I started drinking soy milk about a year ago. Maybe about 4 quarts a week. I been having problems with breast pain lately. I googled it and found many sites that say it could be from soy milk. Maybe most woman already know this, I do tend to live in the dark ages, but i thought of anybody that might want to give it too thier babies and thought i would post this video about it. I know i am not gonna be drinking anymore now.

all because she wanted to keep his cholesterol down. :innocent:

personnally i think soya tastes like cack and i will only eat the soya bean curd sushi other than that i dont touch it. unless its mixed in with stuff.

Yeah, I'm a soy drinker.. but keep it very limited (not daily, and less than a cup). Too much can ruin your metabolism too.

IMO, Soy milk should NOT be given to babies!!

Healthy only in moderation.

Right now, I'm transiting to almond milk. It's pretty yummy and very close to dairy milk taste. Try it!

Soy contains compounds and estrogens which, in too high a level, can start to interfere with our own estrogens. It's not a big deal... you just don't consume a ton of soy products is all. Most things if eaten in excess can cause you some serious problems, including water. Not worth worrying over.

What about the soy formula, is that safe?

Almond milk? Interesting!

I tried soy years back but couldn't stomach it ... but I was never a big milk drinker anyway!

I drink alot of water (up to 3l a day) ... is why I have stomach/digestion problems?

I don't think it usually affects your digestion

Totally agree. Moderation is the key. I can't drink a lot of caffiene because I balloon up like I'm nursing! Plus, woman that have fibrocystic breasts, caffiene can cause more issues.

The soy formula is nasty. Nasty smelling and I'm sure it can't taste good. We see a lot of babies here that are put on soy by their pedis, then they develop a soy allergy. What's crazy is even the formulas that babies are put on that have supposed milk allergy has a form of milk in it too! Danged if we do and danged if we don't.

Do you drink while you are eating? A friend of mine is really into nutrition etc and says that you shouldnt drink anything besides wine or beer when you are eating (ie during not before or after) and that you shouldnt drink water right after, you should wait 15 mins or something like that because it can wash away the digestive enzymes, but wine and beer have similar enzymes so they are fine to consume during the eating process. I never drink water when I eat because of this and my husband does and he always has digestion problems and I dont so who knows. I do drink tons of water throughout the day though.
