Thanks very much to all who have posted congratulations or other kind words! :)

I was able to track it. Just have her give you the number from her reciept for the prepaid waybill. I wasnt able to track any intermediate scans that were made, but I was able to see when it arrived in her home town.

Thanks for the info. I have the tracking number. Were you able to see when it was picked up from the embassy? That's the only date that I'm really interested in.

As I recall, no, it didnt show that, but its been a few months, and the process was so quick that I really dont remember. Figure 2 days to process and two days to receive. That was what it was for us, and she lived in Sochi. Yours will probably be the same.

I checked the DHL website this morning and was very happy to see that her visa was picked up from the embassy by DHL this morning and is scheduled for next day delivery! I expect that means it should be delivered on Monday. :)

One more update....

DHL delivered the visa to Tania at 10:50 AM (Tomsk time)! :) Even quicker than I had expected! Only 3 days after the interview, she has the visa in her hands, delivered to her in Tomsk no less! :) And, even better, we now have flight reservations on September 24 for traveling from Tomsk to Kansas City!! :)

Staying for a few days and catching the sights, sounds and smells of the Windy City?

Nope. Just transiting through. Although, we will spend a few hours enjoying the atmosphere of O'Hare. ;) She has friends in Chicago who would like for us to stay with them for awhile before we head home, but we both agree that will just not be the best time for that. After spending 14 hours in a plane, at that point, and carting some heavy bags, she will just want to get to my house as soon as possible. She just wants to spend some time getting settled in before we even think about doing any traveling, and I also think that's the best thing for both of us.

Chicago is a cool weekend getaway once you're all settled in. And, if you have a place to stay, it's really not too expensive.
