Hello AussieW,

so I look at our NOA2 now and see no Priority Date...it's blank. Is this ok?

Also a question about the NOA2's "Notice Type:"

Our NOA2 says:

"Approval Notice Valid from 04/24/2006 to 08/24/2006"

Does this mean her interview will be before August 8th? Ive looked on the US Embassy Moscow site and found sched. interview dates for May 27 thru July 27 and did not see our MOS ? WAC #. Ive been calling Moscow off and on for a week now and sending out emails and so far our case has not arrived. She told me it could be up to 4 weeks before they get it but I understand that DHL is quick from the NVC to other embassy. I can mail somthing from home to SPB Ru using Global Express and it gets there in 8-9 days tops. Any help or info would be great. Im just setting back and working my tail off waiting for our big day! :)

Does this mean her interview will be before August 8th?

Opps i meant August the 24th. Sorry.

I was just keeping it in simple format for the masses :P

Hey!

I'm not a mass! :P

But I am a "Masshole" ;)

Dont worry about it being blank.

No it doesnt mean that your interview will be before that date. Petitions have a validity of 4 months. If your interview is past that date it is extended.

What if my petition expires?

Consular officers have the authority to extend the validity of petitions that have expired. Because many petitions often expire before an applicant can be interviewed, officers at the Consulate routinely extend the validity of K-1 petitions

Well, so any receipt dates before March 6th, will be processed without any problem. So those are being cleared out thankfully that way they dont add to the back up clogging of the cases in queue.

WHEN DID THEY STOP ACTUALLY ACCEPTING NEW CASES??? LAST WEEK?? 2 WEEKS AGO??? I ask because id be interested to know how many cases have accumulated and clogged up between March 6th and the date that they stopped accepting new cases delivered on the old useless 129F forms???

Thank god cut off point wasnt jan 6th or the rest of us would be waiting forever to be processed!!

Like Laura said, it appears they NEVER stopped accepting new cases. Why walk away from the $170? Just throw in a box and let them gather dust while we all go crazy.

BOY am I bitter.

Well, then maybe that means one of two things. Either, its a good sign that they have not stopped accepting new cases because nothing will be changed only an additional new form will be added to the process. Or, maybe they have no idea what will happen so they are accepting new cases business as usual even though they know they will be put on hold indefinitely and will maybe even eventually be rendered useless, if, a new 129F document is created.

It would be good if cases after march 6th recieved a refund or a credit towards the new 129F form fee, if a new form is created.
