Hello VJ members,

I came here in the US with the CR1 visa and received my 2 yr green card after a month being here. My question are: can I travel abroad specifically Israel? because me and my hubby are planning to join in our church in visiting Israel on March 2009 ( just for a week). If I can , what forms I need to filled up and file ? How to file it , where and when is the best time to file it? and lastly how much it cost?

Thank you in advance......

jane

As long as you going to be outside the country for less than 6 months and it is not close to the expiration date of your green card there is no problems with traveling, just carry your passport and green card with you as you travel.

You may need a visa to Israel, as Greencard does not count in other country.. You are still holding a Philippine passport therefore you need a visa to go there.
