Thanks - yes, I hope the interview is reasonably soon as I have a ticket booked for November 8th and need to change it at least 2 weeks beforehand if necessary...

Do you have any suggestions for somewhere reasonably priced to stay in Sydney close to the consulate?

I stayed at the Hotel Stellar.. it's about a 5-10 min walk from the Consulate. Not terribly close but close enough for me.

I'm picky about where I stay and this one seemed to have the best reviews at the most reasonable price.. I think we paid $100 or $110 a night and got an upgrade too. (Of course I would've loved to stay at the Westin or the Hyatt but after paying for the visa and the flights down.. it was better for us to find a cheaper place to stay :lol: )

Thanks again Kaffy - I'll look into it. It is such a blessing that VJ exists and that people are so generous in sharing their knowledge/experiences - it makes the journey so much easier... :thumbs:

We totally feel your pain. We submitted our application around a week after yours. Looks like we're all waiting together on this! :)

Lol right lets stick it out and we can have shoulders to lean on at the interview point lol

chris and mara good luck on your fileing !!! I am right be hind you filed aug and sept!! I was wondering is it a issue to have him come to vist you ?? we are going threw melbourne .. was thinking of going to see my mate it has been so long since i have \seen him other then on line . time line say march it will be a year almost by then !!!

Tried to in sert hubby and me photos but always says to big !

just joined last week intersted to hear others stories and time lines filed aug and sept hubbie coming from australia!

Been so long since i have seen him ! So any form AU need to know dose my hubbie need to go to sidney to get interview! He is in melbourne!
