VSC fp timeline question

hello.

my window for the n400 will open sept 14

i have a question on how many days from the filing day

will the fp appointment be scheduled as

i have a trip booked for oct from 8-13

what i see here for VSC is about 25 days

if the appointment falls in one of my trip days

should i cancele it?

Why not just hold off on filing the n-400? You could just send it the first week of October, and head off on you trip without worrying about it. Altought the "window" opens on Spet 14th for you - it doesn't "close" LOL. It's not like the I-751 which need to be filed within a particalar time period. Alternatively, if you do choose to file on Sept 14th or so, if your fingerprint appointment does fall during your trip, you can just skip the appointment, and do it as a walk-in when you return. All finger print offices do accept walk-ins on Wednesday afternoon, and , at their disgression, may choose to accept you at any other time.

Nov 20,2007 - NOA1: "expect to be notified within 425 days of this notice",

Jan 10, 2008 - fingerprints appointment (letter lost due to mailing address receipted incorrectly)

Feb 7, 2008 - fingerprints done (took about 10 min - as a walk-in)

Sept 8, 2008 - Interview date (letter received Jul 18) - rescheduled at my request

Jan 6, 2009 - Interview date

Feb 26, 2009 - Citizenship Oath

*online status "case received Oct 29", no touches showing.

Not all ASC offices accept walk-ins, I know that boston does not do walk-in at all. If you can not attend on the given day then you have to follow the instructions given on the letter to reschedule an appointment.
